I have been here a few times and the food etc is lovely and usually the staff are too but the staff always seem to be chatting amongst themselves, often leading to them making mistakes with customer orders. Last time I went, I asked for a milkshake with cream on top. As I waited to the side for my drink, I was talking with my mum who had come with me. I then heard a male staff member passive aggressively shout to me asking if I wanted cream on my milkshake, to which I politely replied "Yes please", despite having already asked for this earlier. Another staff member informed the man that he had said this quite loudly, in a friendly way, to which he snarkily said "I asked four times", right in front of where me and my mum could hear. I found this very rude, as it is not my fault I didn't hear him from across the counter and to the side in the loud bustling atmosphere of the cafe, instead he should have come over and asked more politely. He did not know I asked for cream in the first place, as when I ordered from another staff member, he was talking to a member of staff. This has happened multiple times now where the staff have been rude to myself or people I know, and so I'm not sure I will be returning, which is a shame as the food is lovely, but the politeness of staff is sometimes lacking. Apologies for the long review, I do not want to come across as rude but I feel that the attitude of some staff members could...
Read moreWas in the area with my 90yr old dad who has mid stage dementia. He had a Greggs pizza with him that he hadn't even opened. I thought I would get myself some late lunch and both of us a coffee, then cakes to take home, but before I had chance to sit down and get my debit card out my purse an assistant headed straight over to us and loudly said " You can't eat your Greggs in here" I explained it wasn't mine 'only for my dad' but she insisted "Its against policy" So here's me prepared to spend a minimum of £20 but instead we left. Had the assistant had used her head and quietly approached us instead of making the whole cafe think we were attempting to cheekily use their services for free, I would have explained to my dad that he couldn't have his pizza until later on and got him something to replace it.
As someone who had a business for 15 yrs I strongly recommend your staff change their approach and treat people with respect instead of immediately judging them. I took my dad over to Greggs and bought coffee and cakes to take home instead. I went without my lunch out of principle.
You could have had a regular customer as I now pass this way picking my dad up each week from a community group ...but I'll find...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDisgusting staff! I ordered food from here, but got my child a sausage roll from Greggs and they come over to our table to tell me that my child couldn't eat the sausage roll in there, because it wasn't bought from there, even though I had bought food myself and got told that my child would have to throw it away or sit outside in the freezing cold! This is December! It's minus 4 at least outside and they wanted me to take my baby and sit outside because she was eating a sausage roll that wasn't bought from there! Disgusting people...
