Had a 2 and a half hour journey to oriel mon to be refused entry with my service dog. I checked the website first... and it says.. service and guide dogs, when I got there the receptionists werent rude but they were completely unengaged with me as they were busy chatting to each other. I asked twice to be told `guide dogs only` I repeated he was a service dog, and was ignored. We got back in the car and drove home. i got as far as the entrance Devastated. I'm a massive kyffin Williams fan and was so looking forward to being in the gallery. I did email the gallery and they replied 4 days later saying ` we are sorry` that was it. It's hard enough going anywhere when you're disabled, but to be turned around at the door is really crushing. Won't be going there again. Which is a shame because I'm an artist!

Oriel Mon (Anglesey Museum) is located in my town of current living, Llangefni, Central Anglesey. :) The Museum is a very high quality attraction indeed with 3-4 Galleries, and a lovely Museum Shop and Cafe! :) I often walk up-to the Museum from my Llangefni home to, 'take a peek' at the exhibits covering Anglesey Life etc. :) I also often meet visiting family and friends, from my home town of Stoke-on-Trent etc at the Museum (due to it's central location etc) for a lovely cup of tea / coffee and occasional, lovely, authentic, 'Welsh Rarebit' meal! :) Indeed, enjoy this FREE TO ENTER attraction in lovely countryside surroundings today! :) I happen to think it's just great! :)

We loved this gallery. The museum was quite good and informative, but the local paintings were great; a lot of great mountains and local scenery as well as some more abstract paintings. There's also a lot of good art and crafty things at the shop at the entrance. Rob Percy's book of watercolours is one of my favourites, and there are plenty of other great books and prints by local artists.

Oriel Mon is a lovely Art Centre combining interesting historic timelines of the Isle of Anglesey, permanent and changing exhibitions as well as varied Art and Craft products for sale. The reception area and cafe have recently been refurbished and gives an improved feel to the retail experience. However, it hasnt scored 5 stars on this occasion as it is let down by its limited comfort facilities. The toilets are in need of expansion and refurbishment to cope with visitor numbers. Sadly the cafe was the most disappointing...especially as I had been recommending so wholeheartedly based on my many previous experiebce. Whilst the staff were lovely and helpful...ensuring that allergies were fully catered for....the delivery to table was extensive with some food....such as the egg...of the ham egg and chips arriving cold and other errors in the order resulting in us all being served our hot food at differing times We did not complain as it was clear to us that the lovely staff were not fully supervised and it would have been even more demoralusing for the team of people who were struggling to do their best. This was further compounded by the once upon a time lush plateful of food being considerably dimished yet the menu was much more expensive. Not good Oriel Mon as it has clearly clouded our visiting experience...shall not be stopping for...

Almost excellent - the cafe has several failures that would be easy to remedy. My salad was left ready and waiting under the heating lamps for at least 5 minutes before it was collected by the waitress. The printed order slip was still on top of my food when it arrived at my table (env health violation) and the cold beef was too thick for my knife to cut and it was tiringly chewy. There were cold, oily chips as well that had needed a longer soak before frying. No one checked if everything was ok and no one was around to talk to hence I'm writing it here. The whole meal was an expensive disappointment. It was as if someone had set up an excellent cafe but they were no longer around so the quality and discipline had gone to seed. It would be very easy to return to A1 service so don't let this review...
