Will never use this shop again spent nearly 30 pound twice to get black dry horrible chips wich the owner calls fresh . When I complained the owner gave me free at of Chips rude when I spent nearly 30 pound twice . He told me it wont happen agsin so I bought another 30 pounds worth of food for the excact same to happen agsin . If this is what the owner calls fresh chips all never buy from there again . I wouldn’t have even give the chips to my dog . There black left over Chips . The first photo is of 2 weeks ago and the second photo from yesterdsy . In total this is the 4th time it’s happend and sll they do is offer free bag of chips . Shocking service. The owner never gave me a free meal he gave me free bag of chips hiw rude when spent over 60 pound yes tge chips looked better but u never have mea meal u lier a bag of chips u offered proper greedy u shoukd of replaced all my food. u can say what u want try cover ur tracks photos don’t lie and when I purchased ur left over chips I went home within 20 mins my kids were trying to eat them saying daddy these chips are horrible and dry so don’t say it’s the customers fault the chips were black becsuse I took to long walking home to eat them . U just make me laugh . Photos don’t lie and u are a lier u never gave me free meal u gave me a free bag of chips coz I showed u the state of my chips u said wouldn’t happen again wich it did . . U dint give a customer a free bag of chips when spent over 6o pound proper con man doing that I should of threw them at u how cheeky ur reply is. Calling a free bag of chips a meal wow when I spent over 6o pound on black chips u are a lier nobody gave me a free meal . It’s cheeky of u to over a bag of chips and call that a meal . I even had the cheek to tel me u had better chips fir me to get home open them to the same standard agsin black dry horrid chips. But don’t worry like u say it’s the customers fault for not getting home fast enough u really are a funny guy who will try anything not to admit ur Chips were rotton . . U are a lier twisting things but photos don’t lie . I’ve added the other photo from The chips u sold me the other month so people can see them 2 . So call me a lier all u want...

5 stars for the food.. minus 5 for the service. The staff are clueless, there seems no organisation whatsoever. If you ring in an order, when you turn up as arranged they then ask you what you want and begin your order making phoning up a total waste of time. If you order withing a couple of hours of Mr.Cs closing you are likely to be told there, are no chips, meat or salad left. Considering they close at 9pm on Friday and 8pm on Saturday that means they are regularly running out of vital products at 6 or 7 pm on a Friday and Saturday evening meaning that you have to change your order. When you order a kebab the staff often take little notice of your requests to put sauce in a tub and will every now and again pour it all over your kebab, rendering it inedible. I have put up with this lottery for the last few years as the food is very nice and reasonable priced but after last night will not be returning. We decided not to ring in an order last night as it is such a pointless exercise and went there instead around 7.20pm hoping there would be enough of everything left necessary to get a kebab. 7 pm is a reasonable time to order food on a Friday night. When we entered we were asked what we wanted, and we asked for 2 kebabs ,there were 2 other customers in the shop. About 10 minutes later they asked again what we wanted, bemused but not surprised, we told them again at which point they informed us there were hardly any salad ingredients left. We said that in that case we would have fish ,my friend commented that if they had told us there wasn't enough salad left we would have considered a different order in the first place.. after hearing mutterings about how rude my friend was we decided to leave, not wishing our food compromised.

It's a shame that the place is run so unprofessionally. It shouldn't be hard to put a system in place that works to the benefit of the customers experience. Could do with a supervisor or manager on site. Never mind, there are plenty of other alternative takeaways in Kenton that I will choose instead in future although it is a shame because the food...

I have worked in the food industry for 15years before I became a carer so I know a bit about the fast food service

I’ve been coming here years and have never had any issues All my interactions with the staff have been positive they even know my order off by heart they written it down before I’ve even thought it

The shop is always clean looking even when it manic with customers, something which is really difficult to do I know, and is rated the highest stars in hygiene standards as the staff remain diligent even as I distract them with my mumblings and ramblings during the Covid situation they were great at keeping people safe inside a small shop.

They cook most items from fresh so as soon as you approach the door they will ask if you want anything in

Although it very rare I deviate from my order I have had

Fish and chips - if they cannot get this right they may as well close, but very lucky they get it right and often stays hot on my short walk, and our newly freed independent fish are the size of whales (not that I’m complaining)

Pineapple rings - oooh my god how can you not love these, used to have them as a kid, but like fried Mars bars and other confectionery items it hit and miss who do them, they are just perfect 2 per portion isn’t it

Battered sausage - simple nicely battered

All I would say is to call ahead with orders during expected busier times especially term time as the kids and staff from nearby areas can come on mass extremely quickly (1230 - 13.15) but they tend to be served quickly

As an outside side note car parking at busy times can be extremely difficult this can be said for any part of Kenton shops

They do not offer delivery service which is a shame, I’ve once said that they have a fleet of drivers outside that do the other food outlets and it could be an idea to use them But again these are just minor points that doesn’t overall effect overall great service ….. now repeat after me …. fish chips no salt or vinegar , bag of chips salt and vinegar and I choose my can when...
