I do love Eastney Nudist Beach.
The neverending demands of work/family life mean I don't get to visit anywhere near as much as I would like, but when I do...
It's a pebble beach with a smattering of sand the nearer you get to the water. There is a distinct level, parallel to the sea, that's followed by a mini dip before it slopes down towards the sea. This is great for the tastes of different people as you can either lay on the flat and pitch a shelter, hunker down in the mini dip (for me it stops the pages of a book flapping around too much) or choose the slope towards the sea. Either way, there is easy access to the water (and there are also no real hidie holes for any creeps, not that I've personally ever seen any).
Who visits? Singles and couples of both sexes and all sexualities (not that I've asked anybody but it is 2018 and as a hetero guy I know my fair share of LGBTQ and N). It's a wonderful World!
Every body I've ever met there, or had the good fortune to speak to, have been super nice. And there is a decent amount of etiquette, and the whole experience is welcoming and relaxed. Yes, you can bring your kids; they'd be fine (good parental responsibilities not to be forgotten obvs) and love it... I mean it's the beach and all kids love the beach (mine does!).
Um, facilities. Right, there are none (in easy reach). You have what you can carry. If you're busting for a 'two' there's a public loo within five minutes walk. Other than the sea π you're on your own. This isn't the famous 'white beach' complex in Tenerife! I usually bring a towel, a book, some water and snacks.
So, get down there. Strip away your material shackles and relax! π
(I'd post a picture but waving a smartphone around isn't really the done thing and I'm sure you don't need yet another pic of an empty beach!)
(35 minutes later and I'm re-reading this. That 3rd paragraph sound terribly P.C.. I'm keeping it in, unchanged as L, T and N(on binary) are close family & friend, in the...
Β Β Β Read moreThe nudist beach is a small section of Eastney beach which is past Southsea beach and there is a car park up old fort road that is free. From the car park there is a pathway which is next to the fort. The section of the beach allows dogs and there is a pathway that you can see the fort. However there is 24/7 security and you can only look through the fence. It is very good for swimming, the water is so clear you can see the ground waist deep, most of the beach is stones. Interesting to visit, it really is good for swimming, however it seems to be mainly males on that section of the beach and some couples. Children are allowed on that section of the beach but it is mainly adults, which means it it is a lot quieter. The nudist beach is connected to Eastney beach, however as the name suggests you would think it is connected to Southsea main beach. So don't get confused, it is on the other side of...

Timing was perfect, still very very warm but only about 15 people were already on the beach and nobody until getting to the far end by the concrete wave breaker steps, and wide pathway on the top with concrete jutting out the beach. Where people were laying down. others on the top ledge mostly older men but 4 or 5 women too. I put all my gear down, almost at the very end of the beach. I looked round to see 2 women at the very bottom of the concrete steps., putting on glasses I saw they were totally in a twister position playing games together while I was laid down b4 being given a very very friendly greeting by a group of people. Wish everyone was...
