Broomhill Car Park — Local services in Rother

Great place to park - lots of free parking.

HOWEVER - WARNING TO DOG WALKERS, we visited Camber Sands for the first time as we were on holiday in the area and had been told it was dog friendly but then got fined £100 as we had unknowingly passed into a dog restricted part of the beach. There were no signs in Broomhill car park to say part of the beach is restricted, let alone which part, and no signs when walking along the beach itself. However when we were about level with the Kit Kat Cafe we got approached by two council enforcement people who said we shouldn't have passed the area marked 'K'. I'm trying to appeal the fine and ask for clear signage to be put up in Broomhill and along the beach, but just want to add a warning here in the hope it saves another dog owner the grief! When walking along the beach, keep an eye on the bit up by the houses and do not pass the point with the letter 'K'!

Update 5 July: after weeks of being ghosted by the enforcement company the council outsources to, I finally got a response to my multiple messages of appeal basically saying tough luck and the fine stands as I broke the law regardless of whether I knew there was a law to break. Good car park, although very bumpy. We went on one of the hottest days of the year but got there early at about 9:45, plenty of parking available then. When we left at 3pm the car park was rammed and people were parking on the roadside verges and getting ticketed. The beach is fantastic there and was loads of space but you definitely want to get there before lunchtime or you'll be stuck in a two hour queue...

Very handy and free parking for the beach, it's outside the dog exclusion area of the beach as well although there are no public toilets here. The beach is amazing, loved walking along the seemingly endless beach. The dog had a great run around as well and being so big it never felt busy down there.
