I’ve just returned from Camber Sands Holiday Park and although the beach and dunes were beautiful, the behaviour of the reception staff affected the experience.
We were treated with so much indifference and disrespect that I actually avoided going to reception and preferred to look for answers online rather than speak to them again.
What shocked me most was witnessing how extremely warm, enthusiastic, and helpful they were to certain guests (British families) offering sweets to their children, going above and beyond while completely ignoring us and barely acknowledging my questions. I had to repeat myself three times just to be heard because they weren’t even listening. Meanwhile their full attention was on another family.
It was embarrassing, uncomfortable, and honestly hurtful, especially seeing my children being overlooked while other children were treated like VIPs the moment they crossed the reception door!
I came to relax and enjoy time with family, not to feel like a second-class guest.
Caravan cleanliness was also poor. There were leftover food crumbs on the sofa when we arrived, which was quite off-putting. Even after cleaning it myself, one of the children refused to sit on the sofa or use the dishes or shower. This created tension in our group and we had to buy paper plates and cups just so she felt comfortable. For a holiday park, a clean caravan should be a...
Read moreLovely caravan, very clean and didn't feel too old. We bring the dog and you sometimes get a tatty caravan. We love the position of the site as it's over the road from the beach and I love to walk him in by the sea. This time of year it is a lot quieter but unfortunately we had noisy neighbours this time which spoiled Saturday night as they were outside smoking laughing and talking at 12.45am and woke me up. This is obviously not Parkdeans fault just bad luck. This is a great site for people who do not have cars, I have noticed both times I have stayed here people arriving by bus or taxi with their luggage. There is a railway station in Rye. One complaint I do have about all Parkdean sites is we paid extra to bring the dog with us but he is not allowed inside any of the on site facilities like the bar. Apart from that this is a great...

Staff in reception were really lovely, unfortunately housekeeping member of staff was dismissive and rude. Wouldn't recommend Parkdean Camber Sands to anybody who wants a...
