The admissions policy might need updating as I was misinformed. The policy states “Under 18's are also only allowed in our premises after 8pm with a responsible adult/parent or legal guardian.” Me and my friends were kicked out of the Coatbridge Hollywood and there reason was that was the policy. I asked them if the policy was updated and they said it’s always been that. I’ve been a regular customer at this establishment and not once in my time have I been kicked out because of my age at any time. They failed to provide a reason or evidence this policy was true and I couldn’t help but notice the amount of young teens also in the establishment without a parent or supervisor so I feel we where personally attacked. If this is the policy they should be enforcing it properly instead of picking and choosing and also have someone at the door that asks for everyone’s ID to make this policy work. Will not be returning and would recommend anyone who is against discrimination and who people who are looking for a kid friendly and welcoming atmosphere to not go here with their kids or let their kids...
Read moreI took my son here with family to bowl and have his birthday. Whilst the kids enjoyed the bowling I was very dissatisfied. The bumpers kept sticking meaning that two children in the family lost out on nearly 4 whole turns.
We were moved lanes mid games which stopped our flow. After finishing our game we decided to eat in the 'diner'. Staff were slow and uninterested. A jug of squash costing more than a pint of decent beer was brought to our table and was made with hot water!
We ordered and forty five minutes later food was brought to our table. My father and I had a Cobb salad which was a couple of bits of chicken a leaf of lettuce and cost nearly £8!! The kids meals at £5 each came. My son's burger had been left out under the hot lamp and dried out. There was no salad or veggie stick as promised.
Having looked at the menu the food looked like it should have been good. The places only redeeming feature was that the manager offered us a refund!
I seriously DO NOT recommend this place.
Over expensive, filthy and with staff who genuinely look like they'd rather be...
Read moreThe grandkids had a great time at the bowling alley but from my perspective it was far too expensive. 2 games and a family of four meal deal was nearly 100 pounds. That's a lot for families this side of Christmas. It's obviously geared up to squeeze as much money as they can out of struggling families who only want to treat their children before santa comes. Tried to order the games and food online for a discount but, surprise, surprise, the app wasn't letting us pick today's date. I feel like this was done on purpose to get as much money out of the people there as possible, they know that we will pay it so as not to disappoint the kids. The food was OK, not much in the portions and if you wanted a cheeseburger instead of just a beefburger it was extra for the cheese. I am not stingy and when I'm out with my grandchildren I want to make sure they enjoy themselves but I hate feeling like I'm being ripped off and I felt that at this place. I will be taking my grandchildren...
