Not Impressed.
Having read your exchanges with Mrs Middleton dated 29/07/23.
There are a number of issues involved.
Firstly, Mr and Mrs Middleton were my guests on Saturday 29/07/23.
Secondly I had called the Restaurant earlier in the week, and made the reservation for a table for four, for 19:30, in my name. Had you or your staff checked, you would, or should have addressed me, as the table was in my name. Not one of my guests.
Having dined in Zante Food, which was a very pleasant experience. I expected the same level of service and the same standard of food.
You went to great length to explain that you were not a Greek Restaurant. Why in your marketing material for Zante Food is reference made to Pictures Restaurant?
Why do you take a booking (having noted my contact number) and on arrival tell people that the food they had been looking forward to was not available.
One of Two things should have happened. Either at the time of booking your staff could enquire what type of food will be ordered. Or, when you realised on the day of the booking that there would be no Greek food available, the customer should have been called and informed. Not informed after going to the expense of taxis to get to the restaurant.
I will briefly address the manner of your reply to my guests review.
The wording and manner of your reply speaks for itself. One should never immediately reply to a negative review. Especially when one is not in command of all the facts.
In closing I would like to say. Your request not to frequent your restaurant again will be strictly adhered to.

Read moreHad dinner here last night and was surprised at how good it was. I didn’t even know this place existed, thought it was still a closed down Frankie & Bennys, and from the outside it doesn’t look like it’s a new and open restaurant, might have been why there were so few customers in. This place could do better to advertise the fact that they exist, maybe a social media campaign, and maybe put some external branding and an ‘open’ sign on the window to raise awareness. I say this because the amount of customers they had on a Saturday night can’t be enough to sustain a business and I’d love to see this place thrive because I will definitely be back. A little on the steep side price wise which might be putting some customers off, particularly when the barbridge is a few hundred yards away and cheap as chips (albeit rubbish), it certainly made me think twice about going initially, but we did and I’m glad I did. Staff were great and the food was outstanding, and to be fair the portions were quite large which made the prices seem a bit more reasonable, but I still think all the food is maybe around £1-£2 overpriced. £8 for a starter and £15.50 for a pasta is slightly more than I’d expect to pay, but like I say, I would still pay it because it was exceptionally good. Will be back, and will be...
Read moreFalse advertisement. My dad like most dads enjoys his food so the sign outside stating “LARGE PORTIONS” was the entire reason he wanted to go. You cannot call a 10inch pizza large. You cannot call the x2 people mixed grill large or any the starters - large. Nothing at we ordered was a large portion but the sign is pretty bold outside. Never got photos of everything for £7 you get 4 meatballs? The 10” (large portions lol) Pizza looked and tasted like a school canteen produced it. The only thing LARGE is the wait time. £30 on drinks alone due to waiting 1 hour and 50 minutes for the main dish to be served. It was only half full. staff phoned in sick was the excuse. Staff were very pleasant but £99 for 2 hours and mediocre food is NOT good business advertisement. Sign should read small portions large wait time. Would...
