The driving its self was great. What wasnt was those who i was put on with. I went with my 3 brother, my dad and 2 of my brother friends (7 altogether) we were put on a race with 4/5 other people. 2 were nice enough never interacted with them. But the others, i wish the people at the venue would of done something about. A man in a blue jumpsuit with blond hair push my oldest brother into the barrier that bad that his visor came off and if my oldest brother wasnt holding onto the steering wheel he was flying off so now has bruises on his legs. This man never even got so mucb as a wanring, my brother was given a new helmet and told to get on with it. This man had tried to do it again to the same brother so my brother used a hand gesture (let yourself figure out what) and he was told to calm down by one the people watching. One of my brothers friends was then break checked by one of the other on a straight which got him to crash into him which cause him to get a warning while the man got off scot free. They had also pushed my middle brother off to the side trying to gwt him into the barrier but my brother was then told to slow down by the stewards (dont know what they are called) Another one on the team tried raming me behind while i was trying to turn a corner even though i had gestured to move on the other side. (im just there for fun so i move out the way of anyone getting competitive so i wave at the side to let them know to over take. Had done this since the begning and this was out 2 round of 15 minutes). Me and my family either suspect they work there or are profesonals and the stewards done nothing except look at their phone when their friends were the ones in the wrong but when we even showed a hand gesture we told to calm down. Not only that you can only purchse 3 15 minute sessions but they were going straight back on even though they started the same 3 minute sessions as us and was talking to the stewards all bestie like. I said the stewards done nothing but a woman did come up after my brother incident with the man in the blue jump suit and said "we need to be more careful as this is a none contact sport" in a polite manner and i wouldnt have thought anything of it till i was told what incident she talking about which made me wonder why we were told. If my brother was the one that was rammed why were we getting the warning as i never seen her go up to anyone else. The worst part was that we seen the men snickering while looking at us. One staff member was nice and i never had a problem with him he was the one who came into the briefing room at the end of our video. He had a laugh with us which is why im given it a better rating than just 1.to that man thanks you, the rest make me want to...
Read moreMy daughter, who is severly autistic with associated learning difficulties has been attending this venue practically every week for over 2 years. I cannot praise Sam & his young staff highy enough for their patience, support & understanding. Before, every race a member of staff explains to all the other participants that there is a young lady on track with a learning disability, who is an excellent driver but doesn't always stop immediately for the red lights, but does stop after 10 or so seconds, As I say, she has been going for over 2 years & no one has ever complained. In fact, many participants have spoken to me or her support staff complimenting her driving & her ability to take part. However, on Fri 19 July, I understand a lengthy review/complaint was made about my daughter not stopping at the red light immediately & her possible preferential treatment. I only wish the person making the complain had spoken to the attending staff or my daughter's support staff at the time where it would be explained that the actions of the staff, who know my daughter very well, is to keep everyone safe & that her timings are adjusted to reflect the fact that she doesn't always stop immediately when she should. Although, my daughter thinks she wins every week, I can assure you she doesn't, in fact she rarely, if ever comes first. I am sorry if my daughter ruined your driving experience so much that you had to complain, but you can rest assured that you didn't ruin hers. As a result of this complaint, my daughter may not be able to participate in this activity again, an activity she absolutely adores. if that is the case, then I just want to thank Sam & his team for their kindness & support over the past two years, unlike some other person. ...
Read moreApon arrival we were greeted by a friendly gent, who's name escapes me (apologies) this however was the last part of the experience which could be classed as pleasant we moved threw to the so called cafe, and I say so called as it was not more than a glorified troff, Everything and every surface was absolutely disgusting, after squinting to see the track threw the filthy viewing glass we were invited to the briefing room to show us all how to safely make our way round the track, however (A gasp!) The safety dvd ofcorse didn't work (oh no!) After our intnece safety briefing we were invited to put our safety equipment on, and if I could offer some constructive criticism to the staff and management, I beg of you please just burn these race suits before they run away by themselves. Then we went to get our helmet, but please understand the use of term helmet is loosely used!, As the helmets supplied were mostly constructed of duck tape. (I'm certain this would infact be in adequate in the event of a misfortune event). Now we move on to the karts and oh dear they are poorly maintained to say the very least, then we have the mind-boggling fact that the safety briefing at the start (remember i hade mentioned this before) was not only ignored for the most part by guests but also staff (im not even sure they have a black flag 🤷). What's more they dont have protocol for overtaking on the track! (When slower drivers become aware of faster traffic they should be letting the traffic pass and not renewing the faster drivers experience)
I feel for the price of the track time you should at very least have somewhere clean to sit and wait and to have ppe that is fit...
