Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Scotland

Surly service, long wait despite us being the only customers at the counter and two members of staff working, extremely slow to make the drinks, with no indication of whether we should wait, or if it would be brought to us (in the end they were gracelessly dumped in front of us without a word). Toilets freezing and literally falling apart. Mirrors ripped off the walls.

And hugely over priced too.

The staff are world class! Go above and beyond for everyone but management have to get a grip. The shop is obviously struggling financially, as the girl on counter said she was herself and hours had been cut. Unfortunately this isn’t the correct way to save the shop. I won’t be back due to long waits caused by only one member of staff being in.

Cutting your staff is counter productive as customers will go elsewhere now like myself. During our visit there was at least 10 people all waiting...

Well done to the staff, a welcoming, friendly and helpful team of caring people. Unfortunately, the premises fall short of expectations, not well heated and poorly lit. The down lighters are 'cool' in colour and make the place feel colder than it already is. In short, more heating, more furnishings and better lighting are all needed to take the cafe to the next level. The location is ideal and I will be coming back; just hope this can help improve the otherwise relaxing experience....
