I can't recommend the Cairngorm Brewery highly enough. Having stayed in Edinburgh a few years ago I happened to try the Nessies Monster Mash, a malty dark chestnut beer, brewed by the Cairngorm Brewery. Having drunk many dark ales in my time, Nessies Monster mash has a warm balance of light hopps balanced out by the satisfyingly malty chestnut flavour which is an absolute triumph and is second to none in my opinion. Since returning home from our trip to Edinburgh we have continued over the years to order many other different ales from the Cairngorm Brewery. Such as the Cairngorm IPA, Sheepshaggers Gold (which is an excellent golden Ale) and Trade Winds. The website is very easy to navigate even for a novice. They are very reasonably priced, and the postage is well worth it. When we have ordered even in bulk, its delivered within days. If you are an Ale lover then don't miss out, give the Cairngorm Brewery a go, you'd be a fool...

I am a pilot from the U.S. (Portland, a city with a lot of breweries) and love to visit local breweries wherever I travel to. My wife and I toured all over Scotland for our honeymoon and we planned on stopping by the occasional local brewery between castles, distilleries (for her), and hikes. Unfortunately, with our event-packed day we arrived here 10 minutes before they closed. That was just enough time to buy 6 different bottled beers and hit the road once again. We have been drinking those beers for the last couple days and they are AMAZING! This is one of those times where you wish you could give a place 6 stars. The beer is very high quality and exactly to my preferences. I have been to A LOT of breweries, and I would easily put the beer from this brewery in my top 10, maybe even top 5. I am currently near Loch Ness drinking their "Nessie's Monster Mash."...

Just visited and experienced the tour, and for someone who doesn't drink or enjoy alcohol the your was still very enjoyable. The person talking about the process, the different alcohols and the tasting was very knowledgeable and engaging, keeping us laughing throughout. Even for those who do not enjoy alcohol it can be interesting and educational. I would highly recommend, especially to those who enjoy their beer. And a thank you to the man leading the tour and talk, as he was very entertaining, engaging and...

We got married in Aviemore on 26.10.25 and as part of a wonderful week that followed, some of our wedding party booked on to a tasting at the Cairngorm Brewery where we were hosted by the incredibly knowledgeable Malky and super quirky shop dog Roy 🐾 A fantastic experience and an insightful journey through the range of beers the brewery has to offer. Thank you for a brilliant time and one that will leave lasting memories for both myself and my wedding party. We will definitely be back! 🍻 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We had a lovely lovely time at Cairngorm brewery and came away with some great merch, particularly the dog bandana. We loved meeting Roy the dog and the gentleman at the bar was really friendly and helpful. They have a few taps for keg beer and a couple for cask ale. You've got to try the Black Gold. Well worth a visit. We'll be back.
