Exploring Wymondham while on holiday in Norfolk, we decided to visit the Heritage Museum in the town. A wide ranging exhibition of its history, which was well presented and interpreted. Lots of thought provoking stories brought to life in a fascinating way; encouraging us to go back in time envisaging what the town was like for former generations. The presentation about the local brush making industry was especially interesting to us. We were impressed by the friendliness and knowledge of the staff, all of whom are volunteers apparently. Read moreA fantastic local museum that is full of the history of Wymondham. Newly updated for reopening after Covid closure I am pleased to be the owner of a years pass. My daughter loves going and learning about our hometown the volunteers are lovely and knowledgeable and there are some great tactile things to do. There is a disabled parking space at the rear of the museum along with Wheelchair access at the rear (there is a doorbell to ring for entry). Using my manual wheelchair I can get all round the museum with the exception of the underground...

We were given a talk about the history of the place, a virtual reality presentation about Robert Kett and there was even a treasure hunt for the kids, they had to find all the toy mice and got a reward at the end of they found then all.
