Delivery guy walked mud & oil in on our brand new £2k carpet after I asked him to wipe his feet on the huge Mat at the front door! Didn’t apologise! Then wanted to walk in again with the fridge without putting anything on his boots, so we had to carry the fridge in ourselves or risk more mud and oil on the carpet! Then we discover the fridge had huge scratches on the door, call customers services 40 mins later get put through to the store who advised to come in because we have everything, conversation on camera photos of our carpet (9 miles away) for them to sort a complaint out and compensate us something, drive all the way to the store and it turns out they couldn’t do anything and it was other departments that we need to email and call!! Why ask us to come to the store Abigail Preston’s capital centre manager???? Had enough at this point told them to take the fridge back!! No wonder you have a secret department called “Save our customers!” A whole week for collection of the fridge! And another visit for the refund of the gift voucher, which we can’t use because we won’t be ever buying from curry’s again! It will have to be sold at a loss to us! Absolutely awful experience! Curry’s has gone downhill massively! Had issues when my dad ordered a cooker! 12 months ago and had to take over and complain for him because of how bad they was treating him! Advice for anyone buying from curry’s use cash or card don’t buy with gift vouchers at least then you can be refunded! And don’t expect compensation for damaged goods without having to be bounced from department to department all blaming other people and no one taking ownership even though it’s all the same company! “Save our customers!” Well sadly...
Read moreWe had the most pleasant experience in Currys, Capitol Centre, Preston this morning. Since my last visit some months ago, there appears to have been a noticeable change in staff. We were welcomed into the store by a friendly sales assistant (named Gemma). No longer did we need to hunt for assistance, there was an abundance of young and eager staff members. The store was buzzing with customers and the atmosphere was relaxed. Staff were well organised throughout the store. Today we bought 2 large items and Gemma was again on hand to serve us. She was approachable, professional and competent. She was also able to answer all the queries we had, without hesitation. Today's store experience was a stark difference to previous visits, where staff have been out of sight or happy to stand chatting with colleagues, unaware of customers. I feel that today's staff on shift need the recognition they deserve and our continued support of store shopping helps these young enthusiastic staff remain in jobs! Thanks Currys and a BIG thank you in...
Read moreNavigating the roads around Capitol Centre has become a daunting task due to the horrendous conditions they're in. Potholes are abundant, posing a serious risk to vehicles and drivers alike. The speed bumps, particularly towards Vue Cinema or Nuffield Gym, are alarmingly high, putting drivers at risk of getting whiplash and causing damage to their cars.
It's disappointing that such a prominent area like Capitol Centre is marred by these road conditions, as they detract from the overall experience of visiting the area. Whether you're headed to catch a movie at Vue Cinema or aiming for a workout at Nuffield Gym, the journey there is overshadowed by the constant need to navigate around potholes and brace for impact when encountering the excessively high speed bumps.
Hopefully, the management of Capitol Centre will take notice of these issues and prioritize the much-needed repairs to ensure a smoother and safer driving experience for visitors. Until then, drivers should proceed with caution and be mindful of the road hazards present...
