Porthzennor Cove IS stunning! When I was a kid growing up, my parents moved my sister and I to the UK from the US for three years. Even though we lived in West Hampstead, London throughout the year, we spent our Summers in Cornwall. We also spent time in Devon, Wales, The Cotswolds, Surrey Hills & Northumberland, plus visiting Ireland & Scotland and ⛷️in Scotland & Europe (Cairngorm & Nevis, France, Switzerland & Austria) during the Winters.
Cornwall was our special Summer place though. My parents rented a house for three Summers in a row (1984-1987) that was just outside of Zennor, with AMAZING views of the fields and the ocean, and it was within hiking distance of Porthzennor Cove & Beach. Although the beach is rocky (and there's quite a hike to get down to it), it's hidden and is absolutely lovely.
The hiking in this particular area along the Southwest Coastal Path is GLORIOUS, especially in summertime. Penzance and St. Ives are also lovely and quaint towns that are nearby where we'd do our shopping. Truly, some of my fondest childhood memories are of Cornwall.
