Abell Flower Shop — Local services in Abernathy

I don't even know where to begin. At Lemons Funeral Home they only offer an FTD link to order flowers for services. There is usually more than one florist per area with FTD but somehow we got stuck with Abell and those were the absolute worst flower arrangements I have ever seen. A small child could have done better putting them together, but even so, flowers were missing from our arrangement- half of them specifically. The base was half the size and the arrangements for this funeral were a disgrace. Nothing ever looks like the picture, but in my many experiences ordering flowers, they usually look pretty close. We paid over $200 for a premium arrangement and instead received one half that size that even a grocery store would reject. I'm not even sure why flowers needed in Plainview would go to a florist in Abernathy when there are several available locally. Most people don't want to discuss the appearance of funeral flowers, however after conversations following this fiasco I've learned that this is not the first time Abell has done such terrible work and not only ripped off the customers but in doing so also shown a complete disregard for their deceased loved ones. Yes, many people order from out of town but that doesn't mean they don't either come in for the service or have people take pictures of the arrangements. Absolutely disgraceful and I will be filing a complaint with FTD.
