The street leading up to the check-in guard shack (after Buffalo Wild Wings) is smaller compared to newer facilities, but once a delivery driver makes a successful drive turn onto that particular street (then the check-in guard shack is about 1/4 of a mile ahead).
In addition to that, I seen some delivery drivers parked along the street leading up to the check-in guard shack. So, there may be some overnight parking available (if the curbside spots arenât already occupied by delivery drivers and their diesel-trucks).
The check-in process is a 2-step process, where the delivery driver checks-in at the guard shack and then checks-in for a 2nd time at the Receiving & Shipping Office (which is located at the rear facility). Please know, all delivery drivers have to parked their respective diesel-vehicles and then walk to the guard shack booth to begin the check-in process. Also, the same parking and walking to the check-in booth is the same for the Receiving & Shipping Office.
Furthermore, the overall state and attitude of the staff is friendly and patient.
Lastly, I was loaded in about 30 minutes.
NOTE: Please, immediately verify the placement of the freight pallets into your respective trailer before completely leaving the dock door area (by slightly driving forward a tad while still in the dock door lane). WHY? Sometimes, the freight pallets are placed directly against one side of the trailer wall, which can sometimes block the âE Track Rail Systemâ and not allow the delivery driver the ability to âsecure-the-loadâ by using ratchet-straps. So, a solution to this particular issue is to kindly notify the freight-loader and kindly ask the freight-loader to slightly slide the last freight pallets over â so that, (you) the delivery driver can safely âsecure-the-loadâ by being able to connect the ratchet-straps to the âE Track Rail Systemâ positioned directly onto the trailer...
Read moreBEWARE! I was told by CCSWB that shipping is in transition from appointments to FCFS. That just changed on March 24, 2021. My truck checked in at 10:30 a.m and was called to drive in at 12:57 pm. No door assigned just to drive in. My driver went to the office st 5 pm to check on load status. Meanwhile I emailed the broker asking for detention information. The broker replied to my email saying no detention is paid as itâs FCFS. AND sheâs sorry for the delay. The driver was told by shipping there are 7 trucks in front of his and that he checked in at 12:57 pm not 10:30 a.m. They load a truck about every 2-3 hours. To the shipper your waiting time starts when youâre allowed to drive in not when you check in. Regardless, thereâs no detention pay. How in the world does Coca Cola allow this? They donât care if you sit in your truck for hours losing money, as long as they make theirs. This is the first AND last time going to this facility. It has come to the point where I have to ask the brokers who is the shipper and receiver to try to avoid these issues. People are just so...
Read moreOne of the top worst places to pu. I arrived on time, was told by guard shack to go back out and wait, which there really isn't much space anywhere to be out the way as we wait. She even said to not park at the dirt space a few yards back by the post office road, because drivers have gotten stuck there in the past. Really no options anywhere. I decided to turn around and park close to the first fence, behind another driver waiting, just before the employee parking area and I had a rude local driver tell me to go somewhere else .. like Firstly who are you to tell me that, when there is definitely ample space after guard shack for drivers to park close by the fence line as we wait, I didn't create this nonsense here.. he Said no there's not space there đ¤... but you can see in the pics there definitely was. Maybe he needs to transfer to the Mc Allen, TX location for a few days and see what "No space " REALLY looks like lolll.... anyways it took over 4 hours to complete the process, and it ran my clock out so no shower time now, to make delivery on time.......
