This company reaches levels of incompetence seldom seen in modern times. Actually, I’m unsure if it is incompetence or a complete lack of regard for other people that leads this business to operate in such an abysmally bad way.
The short version: If you expect clear and quick communication regarding your several thousand dollar investment, look elsewhere. If you expect all necessary hookup hoses to be included with your rental, look elsewhere (EVERY OTHER RV COMPANY IN ATLANTA INCLUDES THESE) If you expect to be given money that you are owed without having to threaten legal action, look elsewhere. If you expect any degree of customer service or human courtesy, look elsewhere. The long version: Getting any sort of response to questions about our group’s 3 RV rental contracts was difficult from the outset. Upon pickup, our RV was missing the water and sewer hoses. We were told that we could either a) wait for one of their employees to go buy one (which would take a while due to the busy time) or b) buy one ourselves and be reimbursed. We chose the second option and set off. The 2nd night of our journey, the heater stopped working. We placed a call to the after hours line, and were promised a tech would call us the next day. That call never came. The following night, our refrigerator cut off, all of our food spoiled, and all of our ice melted… thus causing the floor of the RV to flood. We found that our propane tank had been partially filled with air, thus causing the pilot light to sputter and melt the surrounding circuitry. Another phone call was placed, and we were told that a local company (we were in Virginia) would arrive the following day to do a repair. That company never came. North Atlanta never called to see if the repair had taken place. By this point, we were already on our way home and nothing more could be done. On our 7 day rental, we had 4 days of no heat, no hot water, spoiled food, and a potentially dangerous propane tank that very easily could have caused much more significant damage. A week after returning, we asked for finalized invoices and were told that we had to wait a minimum of 10 days. When the invoices finally arrived, we had been given a refund that amounted to 7% of our total rental charge. While I appreciate a refund of any sort being offered, that amount in no way reflects the trouble caused by their faulty equipment or their complete lack of communication to see if the problems were being addressed. Also, my initial down payment had not been reflected in my total amount paid, thus I was overcharged. Furthermore, when trying to be reimbursed for the hose expense, we were told that their policy never includes hoses (it should be noted that 2 of our 3 RVs had hoses), and that we should not have been told we would be receiving any payment. It took nothing short of a Herculean effort to get that money back, and only then after some very rude conversations were had via email and phone. I waited for my refund and my down payment to be processed. and sent several inquiries to Jennifer, and all were ignored. Finally, I sent notice that as of the next day, all charges would be disputed with the credit card company. I then received a response, peppered with phrases such as “I’m not sure why I should have to return your phone calls” and “You can talk to my lawyer from here on out”. Unsurprisingly, the refund showed up the next day. All in all, this company is run by people who are either well versed in rudeness or poorly educated in business practices. Upon doing a little research, I learned that this company has changed names several times in recent years. Reading reviews under the previous names was educational, in that many people have similar complaints to ours. Further, any company that offers you a gift certificate for leaving a 5-star review deserves a second look. You have MANY other options for RV rental in the Atlanta area, and I suggest you look...
Read moreWhen I originally posted my review and rating I gave them 5 stars. However, after returning the RV my experience has been completely different, worse then 1 star.
This was my original review posted mid-July: We rented the RV for 13 days; it was clean and in great condition. Amazing customer service; even answered the phone when we had to call the first night. Will definitely be using them again.
This is now (sorry it is long.....it has been ridiculous): The day we returned the RV a gentleman was there to meet us. He inspected the RV and gave my boyfriend a inspection paper and said that everything is handled by someone in the office and they weren’t there. My boyfriend inquiried about the refund for unused mileage and the amount they originally over charged; the guy said it would be handled the next day when someone returned to the office. I waited days to follow up and Jennifer told me that she had 10 days to take care of it. So, ok...I waited the 10 days and never heard anything, so again I had to follow up. Jennifer then informed me that she doesn’t refund for unused mileage; which was not the conversation she and I had. I called her directly and inquired about the mileage because I knew we wouldn’t have driven 5,000 and she told me that the unused would be refunded. Then, August 3rd (total of 19 days) she finally refunded me the difference in the mileage. Keep in mind the overcharge was also not addressed and they originally charged this on July 2nd; I even sent copies of the quote (that she originally emailed me) and what was charged to my credit card. Jennifer tried to tell me that the daily rate changed....seriously without informing the customer. Well, they finally refunded the difference on August 8th (a little more than a month after the original charge). I am still waiting for the last portion which is a refund for cleaning fees $100; we were told the day we picked up the RV that if we posted a 5 Star google review we would not have to pay for the tank cleaning or any cleaning fees. We were billed $100 for cleaning and have yet to...
Read moreThis company does not have good costumer service. They don’t have a clue how to treat a client. I had a problem with the head lights not working on the trip. I communicated to one of the staff (Madison) the nigh that I found out they were not working. Madison never communicated back. nobody contacted me about the problem. We decided to go in our trip and not travel at night so that could not ruin our trip. After a week of a rental, the owner (Jennifer) called me to find out if I will be on time to return the RV, I had six days left on the rental.
So I asked her that nobody contacted me about the headlights not working. She said to me that Madison got fired for something else and that I should never call Madison for something like that. I called Madison the day after because I could not turn the generator on so she gave the phone to Jennifer and she helped me troubleshoot and we got it going.
At this point Jennifer decided to send a tech to repair the headlights. Tech made it worse. The RV did not start at all. He had to call somebody else to fix it next day and the other Tech couldn’t fix it either. So they had to tow the RV. I waisted Two days dealing with it. They returned the RV to me but headlights not working. At least it was able to start.
The owner was so rude to me because she did not want to take responsibility for her stuff. The owner never apologized to me. She never gave any discount about the headlights not working and never gave me a break about the two days being in the shop.
My wife asked me to take them to court because it was not a Pleasent time being on the road for the first nigh with high beams and not be able to travel at night. Plus my itinerary was not the way I planned . Poor costumer service and Jennifer is not profesional with clients. Based on my experience, make a decision renting at this place. It’s suppose to be fun and...
