Ace of Adams — Local services in Adams

I have been shopping at Ace since 1992, when I moved to Adams County. The lady who works behind the customer service counter is rude. I often ride my bike to the store, and I wear a small backpack. As soon as I walked in, she singled me out and told me that I would have to leave my backpack with her while shopping, which I found insulting. This same person, at one time, accused me of not having money on my debit card, which I know I did, but for some reason, their credit card machine was not working properly. Again, she was very rude. There have been other employees who are very rude. I was told I could not lock up my bike to the outside tire rack, it is not in the way, if they think I am going to leave an expensive bike unlocked, they are crazier than I thought. I took my mom here 2 days after she got out of the hospital to get decorations for Christmas. Dean was HORRIBLE. I absolutely cannot believe that man has a job. Treated us extremely poorly and when we asked for his name, he proceeded to step forward and get in our face to tell us he was the floor manager. We asked to speak to the owner who proceeded to tell us Dean was having a bad day. Other young employees told us they were not surprised by Deans behavior, meaning he must treat not only customers horrible, but his coworkers as well. June 2024 , Ms Barb from the cash register would not treat you the same as everyone else if you have an accent. I purchased something, I was about to leave and told her thank you. She never answered, even she turned around. I told her one more time, thank you. She look at me doing the same thing. Ms Barb, please treat EVERYONE the same, no matter race, ethnicity or religion.
