-----Final Update---- ---AVOID BERRIOS--- Berrios Response below is just to look like they are concerned. They did nothing to help me and still won't refund my delivery fee. Dont think for a second that the response below means anything. They will not help you!!!! They are so poorly mismanaged that no one can step up and make a call to a private delivery service they employ and get the job done. We went back to the Aguadilla store. Our sales rep said. She would get approval from the manager to make the delivery and take the refrigerator out of the box.
After another week with no response, we finally had to call and was told that Berrios contracted an outside company to make the deliveries. That company is not insured in case they damage your delivery. Therefore, they do not remove it from the box till it is in your house.. Never in my life have i heard of such incompetence. I've lived in PR for 24 years. My wife was born and raised here. Im very familiar with the level of poor customer service here. But this is a new level of abysmal customer service. Im getting a refund for the refrigerator and continuing to work with DACO in an attempt to get my $130 delivery fee they stole from me refunded.
We are purchasing our refrigerator and stove from Home Depot.**
Its going to save us a few hundred, and they will at least be able to deliver it.
I dont like Home Depot. I wanted to purchase it from a local company. But at least Home Depot has a professional delivery service that can actually make a delivery. My advice is if you need something that is guaranteed to be delivered, dont buy from Berrios. It's pathetic. They should be ashamed!
----END OF UPDATE----- I would give zero if possible. I ordered a refrigerator. The first one came in a box that looked like it fell off the truck. It was opened and big surprise it was damaged. They never called to reschedule. After a week, i called and had to reschedule delivery.. It came in a truck with no lift on the back.. Looked like 3 high school kids. Dragged the box to my stairs and said it wouldn't fit. I told them it needed to be removed from the box. They said they could not remove the box. Called back to get authorization to remove it from the box. Spoke to a Mr Leon in customer service.. He checked with the supervisor, Mrs Perez. She said they won't take it out of the box, which is ridiculous.. How are you supposed to know if it will fit in your door in a box. I asked for a refund of my delivery fee since your delivery people are incompetent... I would hire someone myself to do the delivery. But she advised me she would not provide a refund for a failed delivery.. I was also advised she would call me back and never responded to my messages.. So im being charged a $130 for a delivery that did not deliver anything... Avoid this company.. Terrible customer service!!
My wife plans on contacting DACO to file a complaint..
I worked for a delivery service in New York. Every appliance came out of the box, or we would never be able to make a delivery. We removed the doors of most refrigerators to make deliveries.. I find it amazing that a company selling appliances can't deliver them into your home unless they are in a box. I guess they have no faith that their delivery people can make a delivery through a door without damaging your purchase!
¡No te ayudarán!!!!
Read moreAfter purchasing several thousand dollars worth of appliances and furnishings from Berrios and have had nothing but problems. The delivery service smashed my new fridge and stove. Afterwards Berrios did not want to replace it saying these things happen. After a long fight over what to do I was credited back and got another fridge but there shouldn’t have been an issue in the first place. The stove was never accepted for return or repair. The Maytag washer, a rather expensive one at that… lasted just over a year before giving up. After having another appliance repair company attempt to fix it. They informed me the washer was missing its manual. It was an odd version of Maytag built in Panama for Berrios?… they couldn’t fix it and recommended I contact Berrios for repair. On the date of the service repair I contacted the service line no less than 6 times only to be hung up on every time! They would pick up long enough for me to hear the call center noise and hang up! (This has been a common experience for me… every time I’ve called and I’m sure I’m not alone!) I was able to find out that while the correct number to call was clearly listed on the service ticket and was updated in the system on the date the appointment was set, the technician supposedly called a different number. A number that had supposedly been removed from my account. Seems dubious at best! Frustrating to say the least! The washer is still broken and they want to set a date for a future service. In the mean time I’ve been with a washer for months. Berrios has shown complete ineptitude and zero desire to help its client base. I would strongly recommend purchasing your home goods elsewhere unless you’re not concerned about service, repairs or warranty needs on those expensive...
Read moreWe came in ready to buy and knowing what we wanted as we were rushed to buy new furniture. When talking to the sales rep and asked if the furniture was available to take home immediately, they mentioned we had to wait until possibly a week to get our furniture, since all their inventory came from their warehouse in a different town and no customer was able to bring furniture home immediately except for in the outlet store.
After explaining our need, they negotiated a faster delivery and assured we would get all that we needed as soon as Monday of the following week. After we waited, when the installers arrived with our furniture we noticed we were being delivered a completely different piece of furniture than what we ordered. We called the store back and the sales rep after much hesitation and back and forth admitted he had actually inputted the wrong model #, and asked if we wanted to keep the wrong item received instead of the one we truly needed.
We didn’t take his offer and asked to have the right one delivered as soon as possible. We finally had the right one delivered on Wednesday and had the delivery fee waived.
They want to sell, and in their urge to sell they compromise attention to detail. This should be a learning for future clients, making sure they get the orders right the first time, as we were told by the delivery team that this is a constant problem. We at least received the piece of furniture we needed, even after all the...
