Parqué Colón — Attraction in Aguada

Returning back to the island after a long time away, this has been one of the few spots where my son and I were able to find some peace. Sadly too many beaches of my childhood here have been shuttered or converted into private areas, typical of tourists purchasing beachfront property to escape their mainland existence. You'd think this was being remade into Newport Beach against the will of the locals, but that's 'progress' for you. Cute little vendors shops here and there. Food carts nearby and one time we went there was an icecream truck. 5 of us got icecream for $10. $10!! Crazy ridiculous and great tasting. Beach is beautiful and clean with a slight cliff with a view/lookout point. Small little park for the kids that's shaded by the trees. A nice and tall tree house. A cool bar restaurant nearby for rhe adults. Within walking distance of other mini shops by the beach, including coffee and chicken w/fries. A well visited park in the area where you can enjoy hours of fun with your family in this park, walk the seashore, get your foot wet or swim. It has a beautiful sunset. On weekends is full of many street businesses, where you can find: "frappe" (smoothies), "pinchos de cerdo" (pork kabobs), mini donuts, pop corn, "piraguas" (flavored shave ice), burgers, "frituras" (fritters stuffed), "artesanos" (local craftsman products), soft serve ice cream and there is a small restaurant...
