The Hotel — Local services in Ahoskie

Unfortunately, this was just so disappointing I couldn’t believe it. I was in a group of 4 (2 couples) and I was behind the other couple. This is important because if you were not in the front, it’s hard to even consider yourself an afterthought. Every jump scare, every new room, every opening conversation was complete Missed by myself by not being in the front and no effort was ever made to do something after it’s already been done for those in the back. And like come on it’s 4 people not 8. The experience that fully made this apparent and ruined my night was the couple in front of us walked in to a room with a big dude holding weights over his head, started yelling and then proceeded to follow them yelling. My girlfriend and I were literally no more than 5 seconds after the other couple initially entered the room, and unfortunately had to watch the actor follow them as we just are forced to move forward with another missed opportunity. I haven't done the haunted house, but tonight my husband and I did the ghost tour in the Garrett Hotel. Now for the past 7 years we have done EVERY haunted attraction in our area within an hour(ish) drive. This year we decided to branch out, when my husband suggested this ghost tour I was skeptical(it was a 90 mile drive) I assumed it was going to be a mediocre "haunted hotel" with speakers playing voices/knocks and light projected "spirits" BOY WAS I WRONG! This was hands down not only the coolest Halloween experience I've ever had, but probably one of the coolest experiences in general! The owner and the crew are awesome, the actual tour I won't speak much about as I don't want to set expectations as each experience will be unique. Only request I have is to offer all night stays(especially private!!) I would gladly make the trip again and plan on checking out their other...

*Edit especially with the Interesting response from the owner, made me like it even less. Of course when you leave some where you thank them and tell the you appreciate it. I’ve been to many haunted houses, this was definitely on the lower list. Great for someone who is sensitive to anything scary. Regret spending my money here even more now that I know the owner won’t live up to constructive criticism from someone they asked to leave a review. ** Kinda lame. 1 or two jumps scares but definitely not worth the trip or the money.
