KJ's Market — Local services in Aiken County

Great shopping experience here! The new store manager, Austin, has made some really nice improvements to this store. Very clean and organized now and major improvements in merchandising, product selection and product availability. He’s turning the store around and it really shows. We found some great deals on meat and the digital coupons made for some steals on cereal, ice cream, cake mix, and laundry detergent. All of the staff I encountered was very and friendly and helpful. Robyn even offered to help find anything I needed. Shopped at KJ’s today. Obviously the crowd was huge due to the situation caused by hurricane Helene. The staff was absolutely amazing even being as overwhelmed as they were. They were polite, extremely helpful finding items and calm under pressure. I also would like to comment on the shoppers I encountered today as well. Lines were long, people were stressed and the selections were limited. Absolute calmness. Shoppers were chatting in line and making the best out of a bad situation. People were being nice to each other. I think this is a great example of what the people are like in this area. We might not always agree but when the chips are down, we’ve got each other’s backs. The prices are insane compared to other grocery stores in the area. Food lion is right up the road. They act as tho they have a monopoly in the area however that isn't the case. Never see more than 8 cars in the lot and it's surrounded by 3 dollar stores which most of the the people in that area is what they can mainly afford. Those that drive and make a decent wage that aren't lazy will make there way to another grocery label as we do outside of a quick need since we live a few blocks away. Almond milk is over 4 dollars for example. It's not a huge price hike but in total worth to not go here. The employees are the only thing that saves this...
