Georgia-Pacific Corporation — Local services in Akron

Ive been here many times. If you are lucky, you can be in and out. A bit tight but not bad. However, over half the time, it's hours wait to get unloaded. With no explanation. 1 was first truck here for my 7 am appointment. It's after 9, and they haven't touched me. Many Georgia Pacifics have improved. This one has NOT.

Update: I was here over 6 hrs last time. Its two weeks later, Monday morning again. 7 am scheduled. Its 930, and they still have not started truck 1. It appears no one scheduled to unload trucks. I'm guessing it's a slow day? And they dk it with overflow from the other parts of the warehouse. Clearly driver time...

I did not get loaded at this location so I cannot speak on that. But I did find out that this is the main GP plant and they're temporarily (for a few months at least) open Mon-Fri 24 hrs, closed Saturday at 0700 (7am), and don't open back until Monday morning again. They do have a restroom at the main plant though in the shipping office.

Drivers, if you get here when the main plant is closed, go to 2850 Gilchrist road, which is just down the road headed back to I-76 (look for ASW Supply GP Operations on Google Maps), they're open on the weekends, for the most part. I came here before 7am to deliver roll paper, 7am I'm at door 23 waiting to get empty. It's more than 4hrs still waiting for them to start unloading, it's 11:30am now still no one start to unload my trailer. And 2 more trucks waiting. I don't know what's going on, but they should know that we have next appointment for next load. Like they don't even care, like ever. What a waste of time.
