The Yuppie Pup — Local services in Alaska

Updated since new owners to Yuppie Pup in 2025. We have been taking our 2 older Yorkies to Yuppie Pup for the past 4 years. They have been loved on and in excellent care that entire time. I was hesitant for the change to a new owner.

We recently had a boarding stay for almost 2 weeks - Breana (the new owner) was equally amazing! The facility is still very clean and organized. The new portal for booking is easy to use and convenient to reference. Breana took the time to get to know me and the pups at drop off, including both of their daily medication routines. I received texts every 2-3 days with pictures and to let me know they were doing well. I felt very comfortable and didn’t worry at all about their care. To top it off, I booked only a few weeks out from a holiday weekend where 1-2 of the days weren’t available. Breana communicated the issue and assured me she would keep me updated on confirmations. She was able to get my 2 dogs in and kept me updated along the way.

We drive from Eagle River for boarding at the Yuppie Pup and will continue to do so. I can’t recommend the Yuppie Pup enough to anyone with a small dog. You will not be...

This place is awesome! It's so clean and spacious with a super tall fence for the yard. My very shy/reactive mini dauchshund, Opal, warmed up to Breana immediately! She even took a treat from her which she never does with new people. Breana messaged me updates with pictures & video to ease my mind during our time apart. Last minute find for our lil pup’s care for the day, and what a gem! Breana is absolutely fantastic - so pleasant and caring, amazing customer service (both dog and human) and follow-through. Our fur kiddo came out of her care happy, smelling good and even with a goodie bag. Very reasonable rates too....
