Perkup Espresso — Restaurant in Alaska

I was greeted with a smile by all 3 of the barista's working at that time, around 7:40 am. I enjoyed how they interacted with each other to quickly, but accurately, complete the orders from both sides of the stand. I noticed a couple of things that impressed me. #1: They cleaned up after themselves as they moved through the drink making process and the work area was spotless. #2: They asked more questions about how I wanted my drink than most stands do, taking their time, and allowing me to not feel rushed to give my answers. #3: I ordered my favorite drink, a caramel mocha, and it was awesome! It was so much better tasting than at any of the other stands I have been to, including Starbucks. I also got an apple crumble muffin and it was delicious! Perkup Espresso is now my fave go to and I even set up an account to get discounts and bonus drinks. I would highly recommend trying them out. I hate leaving a bad review, but EVERY SINGLE TIME I get coffee from this place they make my drink wrong! Maybe it’s the way I order it. “16oz Carmel hazelnut frappe 4shots, caramel drizzle NO whip.” Every SINGLE time I get NO drizzle and SO MUCH whip cream it’s coming out of the lid ! It’s honestly frustrating at this point. I go frequently enough that you’d think it wouldn’t be a CONSTANT mistake!! I understand it’s a minor mistake but I spend money to get the drink I ordered and usually tip 15-20% and never get what I ordered. All the drinks are really the same wherever you go, right? The Lotus smoothies and iced drinks are nearly an exception because they have more variety than Red Bull, but those too are available in many locations. This makes it hard for any outlet to be a cur above the rest. Perk up excels in customer service. Super courteous clerks are always more than willing to assist a motorist in wading through the options: Hot, cold, basic, sweetened.. the myriad of options is often a bit much on the way to work.
