I’m giving 2 stars for the fact that they offer a wide range of different options, the store is clean, their shelves ate typically orderly/organized and they have an amazing parking lot. Other than that, I have, for a few reasons, chosen to not shop there unless there are items they carry but I am unable to locate anywhere else locally. These reaons are as follows: 1.) Rude, pushy and inconsiderate staff. In the 2 years that I shopped there (regularly, almost 2x per week), I can only recall 2 staff members that have offered friendly interactions and have made the experience comfortable, otherwise I have come across ones who are snippy and condescending. At closing they tend to become very pushy, inconsiderate and rude, making you feel rushed, invaluable and leaving you with an overall uncomfortable feeling. Even if you are walking down an isle to get to the checkout or are grabbing one last item as they are announcing that they are closing, the ones walking the isles will sometimes chew you out for not being at the register, will literally linger around following every step you make until you are at the register, and will become very pushy. 2.) while i typically find decent deals on food, pet supplie, some health/beauty, and cleaning products, their prices can tend to be over the top. On many occasions I have come across dollar tree products (literally from dollar tree) that the price is listed higher than the dollar tree prices. Walmart and Amazon tend to also be cheaper on the majority of products offered. They also have an annoying habit of unexpectedly changing prices of items as they no do not stay consistent. As an example: I only purchased my 20 packs of bottled water and 12 packs of soda from there because it was the only place affordable. After a few visits, the prices had increased and not by a small amount, raising these prices anywhere from $4 -$6 from the original prices that they were offering. I am saddened as I do enjoy their store but all of the negative experiences I shared turn me off of the thought of giving them any of...
Read moreWould I buy all my groceries at Rons? No. But there are some essentials that, regardless of the expiration date (which is usually a Sell by date and not an actual expired food date) that I ALWAYS buy from Rons. Noodles, a cheap product at most stores but even cheaper yet at this place; Spices, which can be spendy depending on the brand and Ron's carries all kinds at cheaper-than-usual cost; condiments, (ketchup, mustard, cooking oil/spray, bbq sauce, etc.) check the date to be sure it isn't too old - but typically these items are perfectly fine. As for misc. goods, It is hit or miss with this place. Some items are incredibly unique and well priced while others are the same prices you'll find at name brand stores, use your better judgement.
My ONLY complaint would be when they slash bar codes or black out store names on labels with sharpie, they tend to write on the product. I've purchased picture frames, vases, cups ALL with this issue and it was a pain to remove. Don't ruin your merchandise, it isn't professional and it irritates...
Read moreMy first time in and will NEVER step in again. I was glared at as soon as I walked in. So right away did not feel welcomed. I had my service dog with me as my grandmother and I went in to just look at a mattress. My dog is very well behaved and was not a bother in any way. I was then asked multiple times what type of service dog she was and looked down upon after finally saying it. They don't care about your well being or mental health if you have an emotional support animal who helps you in public. Emotional support animals are not seen as legit service dogs in their eyes. We need them just as much as a security or medical dog. Even if she is a medical dog, they would probably still deny you access. So if you want to feel welcomed and taken seriously, this is NOT the place for you. They are rude, overly crowded, overly priced, and not showing support for those who really need it. Will not...
