State 5 Theatre — Local services in Algona

Great little ( 5 screens) theater on what looks like the main drag of Algona. Parking was fairly easy. We have redeemed free pass offer from IHOP. However, tickets are pretty much going rate, they offer first releases and 3D movies. The only reason a dropped a star is it took me 3xs to get one of 3 people behind counter to take my order . There was no one else at counter, and the 3 people were busy talking to each other.- It was the same when I needed to know where restrooms are. But once inside the theater, there was literally no one but us two, 10 mins before start time. Big bucket of popcorn with a share lid & 2 large drinks is the best way to order movie snacks. (15$). Seats aren't the most comfortable, but for movies under 3 hours, they are serviceable. Convenient garbage can to not litter floor, and our visit...

So thankful to have this fine establishment in town. Always have the latest films, clean facilities, and very friendly staff! I also really appreciate how hard they work to make sure everyone is getting an enjoyable movie going experience. You would think it's common sense to not have your phone out on full brightness during a movie but of course there's always at least one. Good news is that the staff at State 5 takes care of issues like that and will kindly remind them that they aren't the only ones trying to enjoy their time...

Definitely one of the cleanest movie theatres I have been to.
