Ohio Furniture Mart — Local services in Alliance

Haven't purchased there quite yet, but honestly this place is awesome. My wife and I had just went to the sofa store in the alliance mall and the experience there was a not so friendly one. The prices were pretty expensive too. We were then driving to Mckinneys furniture and they said they were closing at 5, but were hoping to get out early (so we decided we didn't want to deal with eager to leave workers). My friend had recommended this place so we drove to it. It was 4:15ish when we pulled in. We saw on the door that they also closed at 5. When we walked in a really nice man greeted us and we told him we were wanting to look around and he said, "sure take your time." My wife and I were like, "Wow, this place already seems better than the other 2." We then started looking at the prices and to our amazement the prices were much cheaper and doable financially for us. We were thinking about buying a set and I called the guy over and asked him if they did discounts on sets. He then informed me that they could not because the prices listed on each item was the lowest they could go. He explained that they sell at low rates, but in larger quantities. Most furniture stores do the opposite to my knowledge. We weren't too dismayed, because we recognized he probably wasn't lying. So we then walked throughout the whole store and we were trying to decide between 3 sets. It was close to 5 by now and the guy seemed as friendly as ever when I decided to ask him a few more questions. I asked him to tell me the differences between the sets. I was then very much surprised when he pointed out the negatives on the most expensive of the options. I could tell he wasn't at all trying to sell us the most expensive model. I could tell he was passionate about furniture and he had a way of exciting my wife and I. We are very picky about a product when we are going to spend over a thousand dollars, so we threw a lot of questions at him and he not only answered our questions but gave us information in excess that we found interesting. Another surprise was that he said they would deliver the couches to us for free and could deliver to columbiana if need be (I live in salem, so not as far). He also explained that the couch that we had our eyes on the most (unbeknownst to him) would be his number one pick. He said that some of the couches that are placed in the back take longer to get in and if they were placed toward the front they would sell more often and he was afraid they would have to sell the floor model to keep a customer happy, which wouldn't be a problem except he wanted to always have a model on display. As a heads up, I almost never write a review, but this guy really made our day. Even though the shop was basically closing, he didn't act like we were an inconvenience and was happy to answer all our questions. I even call the store at closing time because I had one more question and he happily answered. My wife and I are probably going to buy a set from there in a month or two. Another thing I almost forgot... He told me that he had just dealt with a customer that purchased a couch 10 years ago and the warranty wasn't good for that long and yet he helped the guy anyway. He said although a warranty expires he can usually help someone anyway. The most shocking thing that he told me the whole time was right after he gave me his business card. He said something to the extent of, "If you ever have a question call me, even if your at another furniture store and you need some info on what you're going to buy." I'm convinced he really would help and not throw a sales pitch at me if I were to call at...

Love my new mattress! I woke up very sore one morning and had enough. It was time for a new mattress. I was lucky able to get it delivered in two hours and my old mattress taken. I live on the 3rd floor in an apartment complex so getting this as a bonus was huge. Salesman was nice and showed me all different price ranges and types. Wasnt pushy or tried to sell extra things. I ended up with the ashley Sierra sleep ultra plush luxury eurotop queen. Highly recommend as its party memory foam but still with coils with cooling. This isn't the cheapest mattress out there but not the most expensive one on the market. What sold me to actually go to a place rather than online is you can try the mattress, delivery,and get rid of your old one. Trust me it's worth getting a good night's sleep. Thank you soo much! Delivery was made within the stated time frame and I received a phone call prior to that stating they were on the way.delivery was fine and the setup was going fine until they were unable to program one of the units.they tried for quite some time but with no luck. They called the office who sent someone out to diagnose the problem.found that one of the units had a faulty switch. Found that they had a new switch and remote at the warehouse. They ran to get those,came back shortly and had it operating in no time.all service people were friendly and courteous .have used ohio furniture mart and groves before and will continue to use them...
