Tuk Tuk 30A — Local services in Alys Beach

We pre-booked 2 dinner rides with TukTuk. The first night Darryl called with a conflict but he sent a friend who was an Uber driver in his place. Dale was very nice and very prompt so no harm, no foul. Because Darryl had a conflict, he agreed to give us a complimentary ride on Tuesday night. On Tuesday night, he again sent Dale which was okay but we had 5 people and 4 of us were crammed in the backseat of Dale’s vehicle. Darryl picked us up at the restaurant for our return ride home in the TukTuk and all was well. On that ride, he confirmed us as the only people he had scheduled for the next night so we were looking forward to our ride as our adult children were going to be with us. The following night, Darryl did not show for our pickup time. When I called him, he did not answer the phone so we were left scrambling to make our dinner reservation and for a designated driver. When Darryl called me the next day, he made every excuse saying that he was covered up with other rides. Funny how we saw both of the TukTuk’s sitting in the driveway of his apartment complex when we passed by on our way to dinner. (Dale had previously pointed out where Darryl lives.) Made excuses when I asked why he didn’t let me know that he wasn’t coming-if he actually had a “conflict”. Tried to insinuate that we were somehow remiss in not finding a backup driver. When I didn’t want to belabor the unprofessional nature of the situation anymore over the phone, Darryl proceeded to send me a text with more excuses. Basically and finally, I would have to say the best description of our experience with Darryl was disappointing...

We had a tour for 6 people scheduled. 2 minutes before our sightseeing tour was to start ... they canceled on us! They canceled on us by text message.They couldn’t even take the time to call us and let us know personally. Horrible business right there! I was told by text message twice that we would be refunded, but they still have not refunded our $222.60.

We were driving and bike riding all along 30a for a week. A member of our group made a great statement saying, “We have been here for a week and I have not seen one of the tuk tuk rides.” This was a very busy spring break week. I guess that should have been a red flag to us.

The communication with this company is terrible as well. When you call the number listed you cannot directly talk with anyone. They ask you to text or email them.Texts go unanswered for 24 hours. I reached out again by text yesterday about our refund owed and ... no surprise ... I have not received a reply back and still no refund.

This is not the first time they have canceled or didn’t show up for a tour and did not refund their money. See other recent review on Trip Advisor. This company does not care about their customers and takes...

Big D by the Sea! This was hands down the best experience I have had. My family and I have been going down to 30A since I was a kid and never had an experience like that. Big D did not only provide us with an amazing tour of 30A, but allowed us to stop by neighborhoods, little shops, and had great food & drinks. Caribbean Queen's were hands down best drink along with the jerk chicken wings. If you haven't had it, Big D knows the spot. It was fun to hop around 30A and check out all of the bars/restaurants too.

The Tuk Tuk itself was comfortable, provided a speaker to play tunes, and fun to ride in. Big D is the absolute man and would recommend him to any of my friends and family. He made the tour so personable and it was so great to know him. If you want pure customer service and a great time/tour, Big D by the Sea. Hands down. He's the man and was...
