I was so excited to purchase this trampoline after hearing what a well built product it is. We ordered a complete in ground system in April. After it arrived with no surrounding safety mat, I called to ask where it was. I was told then it was back ordered until July 1. This would’ve been helpful knowing before I purchased it. By early July we still had no safety pad. I called and emailed multiple times with no response. Finally in mid August through their text chat someone actually responded to me. After I explained we’ve been waiting months for the surrounding pad that was already paid for she apologized and said somehow it slipped through the system and they would get it right out. They did ship it right away which was nice but she had no explanation for why they haven’t contacted me earlier and just quit texting me. By the time we receive the pad the ground was grown in to the trampoline and there was no way to attach it the way it was supposed to be attached. It obviously is supposed to be attached when you put the system in not four months later. So now my husband has just jimmy rigged it to make it work but after paying almost 2 grand for a system this is less than ideal. With zero communication on their part and responsibility. I would not recommend purchasing this through them. Although the product itself is well built and fun. Just pray you don’t need their help with anything or customer service because it’s very hard to get! Update: in response to owner. I know I purchased it through you. I am not confused. And your right I never actually did talk to a person because no one would call back. I did jump to conclusions that through text chat I was talking with a female but it likely could have been a male. I appreciate the info about installing pad later. I can look into that. As said before it would have been helpful if I had know this information trying to install 4 months...
Read moreTDU Trampolines are overpriced garbage.
We had our trampoline installed by a professional landscape company in July of 2013. From day one, three were issues. The retaining wall system didn't fit the trampoline very well (both purchased from TDU) and the plastic panels never locked tight. When backfilled, several bowed very badly but thankfully, none have broken or shifted much since then.
The trampoline pad that came with the kit was missing two d-rings so two springs couldn't be installed. Thankfully, Sprinkler World (the supplier our landscaper used) changed it out. BUT, the one they swapped also had issues since it was missing one d-ring. We decided one missing d-ring wouldn't be an issue so we just left it as is. Within the first 60 days, we noticed d-rings starting to break free from their stitching. Before the first winter about 30% of the d-rings ripped free. A replacement pad from TDU was about $180, we found another from a different supplier for $80. The replacement one is WAY better and less than half the price. Since installing it in spring of 2014, no issues unlike the TDU one that couldn't even make it 60 days.
The next thing to go was the safety pad that covers the springs. To TDU's credit, the vented design is great but just like all the other junk they make, this fell apart. It too started to fall apart (seams coming undone) before the first season was done. We took them inside over the winter to try and make them last longer. We put them back out in the spring and before the second season was even in full swing they had completely come apart. TOTAL JUNK! They are a great design so I looked at getting replacement ones but they are 3 times the price of regular safety pads.
If you only need a trampoline for one season (or maybe 30-60 days), TDU makes a great disposable product. If you need something that will last longer AND cost less,...
Read moreI ordered the 14’ retaining wall kit from TDU. I’m surprised this company hasn’t been sued for false advertising. The pictures on their site, as well as their item description is completely false. What I received looks nothing like what they advertise. The retaining wall is very flimsy and cheap, it does not lock together at all, it slides together and doesn’t hold. It also only attaches to the top rail of the trampoline, so unless you purchase a trampoline from the company, this item is a complete waste of $900. The directions tell you to backfill the inside of the trampoline with dirt to support the barrier. Once you do this, the very cheaply built barrier separates. There’s 33 panels so you have to unscrew every separated panel and put them back together. If they sold the barrier that they actually advertise on the site, this would never be an issue. Customer service is worthless, they just tell you how amazing their product is. Product return policy is garbage. They sell you a falsely advertised product then tell you have to pay for return shipping and that they’ll only accept the item if it’s in original packaging and unused. I’m not a person who usually writes bad reviews but be aware before you spend money with...
