Many people ask me what is the surplus sale. I will say it's like a big garage sale from all Iowa State departments. I love going there for all the surplused technology, they sell some solid computers for a great price. Though keep in mind they are open to the public only on Wednesdays. Also, every week they get new inventory, so predicting what they sell is not defined. It is just what ever the...

I use to love going to these sales until they moved to a smaller building. They just dont have the amount of variety that they use to . It seems to be the same items with a few new added week after week. I just dont get that excited about going any more. We use to find great stuff at great prices but now they just dont have the same amount of stuff so choices offered are very few. I wish it was like...

Great prices on used electronics and gadgets. But, if you get there right at 9:00 when it opens, you'll be shopping and browsing in a giant crowd of people who know exactly what they're looking for and where to find it.
