Wasabi Ames: hard to find, harder to forget! The small, unimpressive sign (only on one side of the building) is easy to miss... Don't let poor signage discourage you! Wasabi Ames welcomes you in with mouthwatering aromas and a lineup of chefs that would make any kitchen proud. We were welcomed in and given several menus... what to do? Where to start! I was so hungry and everything sounded wonderful! We started with miso soup - THE best ever! Very flavorful with plenty of wakame and tofu. We indulged in the pork and cabbage dumplings - highly recommended!!! They were perfectly made and oh, so, tasty! Next, for the sushi... I'm not a raw sushi person so I opted for the California roll *tasty and fresh but on the small side and the baked seafood roll. THIS roll was the bomb and perfect in every way. It's VERY filling and one of the most delicious sushi rolls I've every had! My husband, the birthday boy, also enjoyed his miso soup and a few of my California rolls. He ordered Mr Din's Masterpiece with tempera shrimp and inhaled every bite! The sauce, in his words, was "very tasty" and all ingredients "exactly right". He enjoyed 2 beers with "Exhile Ruthie" in the name. *missed getting a picture. I was impressed with their lemondrop and even more impressed with their Cosmo martinis. Food was very good, service was great (ask for Maddie!) and pricing wasn't bad. We will return soon!

Tried the Choya wine with some bulgogi beef. Food and drink were absolutely delicious. The only downside to eating in was the fact that the tables were so close to each other. It was also pretty full during my visit, so I was sitting way too close to a different group (no masks since we were all there to eat) with barely any room for waiters to stand in-between the tables. I suppose this would have been just fine in a pre-covid era. I'm vaccinated, so I wasn't as worried, but still, I expected more distance between the tables. Anyone nervous about space might want to order takeout instead of eating in (or sit in a booth as opposed to a table), because they might find the nonexistent distance between tables uncomfortable. Outside this, lovely experience!

My fiancee and I went for dinner at Wasabi tonight and holy buckets! Everything was AMAZING! Such a difference from the last time we had eaten from here! Everything was super hot and fresh. Excellent service and food!! Not nearly as good as it usually is and that's a huge disappointment! He had the beef lo mien, flavor was right, but the noodles were like eating glue and way way overcooked. I had the tempura battered California roll and my rice was gummy and the tempura batter was so thick it wasn't cooked all the way thru and the slices...holy cow! Look at them!! Our Dasher Micah was awesome! Rang the doorbell and sent me a pic that it was there. That was a 1st and very very appreciated!! But for $40 Wasabi, I'm not happy

The food was quite good, but the service was not. We had a group of 12 and the server didn’t ask if we had separate checks, so when we were ready to pay there was a great deal of confusion. When the server handed us the tablet device to finish our bill, we added the tip and the screen showed that $44 would be charged to my card. A couple days later when I looked at my bank statement it showed a charge of $230. Apparently after we left someone changed the bill and added some of our other party’s items to it. After multiple calls to try and sort this out, the owner can’t understand what the issue is and because there was nothing printed as far as a receipt, refused to do anything. So, if you decide to go here in a group after hearing my story, make sure to specify if the bill is split up front and get EVERYTHING PRINTED so you don’t have...

Ordered what was labeled as Korean bulgogi, it hardly tasted like it should. ( We have lived in both Korea and Japan for many years.) There was no marinade. It was flat, no garlic, sesame seed nor oil, no sugar, and very little if any soy sauce. The beef quantity and quality was good, however. The pork dumplings were not hot and the rice was not hot, tasty nor moist. The dining room was attractive. The restaurant closes at 9:30, one of the employees began to sweep and mop across from our table around 9:10. Another asked if we were watching TV. We were not so she turned it off. Our waitress was attentive but surprised our concerns were not brought to the managing attendant. We were excited by the reviews and the extensive menu. Sad, but it was a...
