God's Storehouse — Local services in Amite City

I used to love to shop at this place, And being an advocate for telling people to donate their things There. revisited a while back, noticed the prices have gone up tremendously and the people that work there aren’t so nice and greeting as the people who used to work there. The name of the store says God storehouse, but nothing in there or make it feel like it’s God‘s house anymore. this place I remember has so much love in it and willing to have the community in need. I went there looking around and I noticed a mother and a daughter looking around for some few things and you can tell by looking at them that they need some help. They need clothes shoes they hygiene wasn’t even that great. And not one of those Christian ladies that worked there went to them to even ask with concerns about them if they needed anything … so I continue walking around and by the time I got ready to get to the front, they was already gone. Everything that the store has in there are all donations and if you are a worker of God, they didn’t need to ask for any help. It should’ve been given to them so this nonprofit organization is beginning to be like Goodwill. so if you are not gonna do God‘s work, don’t use God name in vain. This...

I never knew about this place until my husband introduced me to it today, he used to work there over 10yrs ago. The amazing people that were working there then and now are truly a BLESSING DOING GOD'S WORK!! My husband and myself didn't know how we were going to get Christmas gifts for our 10yr old daughter and 8yr old son this year with him being laid off at the last minute before Christmas and myself having to have knee surgery soon and the nice manager and nice worker truly helped us with clothes, shoes, and toys for them. I absolutely love this place. You hafta look at everything, but it's worth it. There are clothes with tags still on them. All the clothes are in very good condition. The people that work there & the people that volunteer are great also. They help you any way they can. Everyone is always so nice & always smiling.
