Town Donut and Breakfast — Restaurant in Amite City

Best damn doughnuts around. Very friendly family owned business I believe. It’s cute to see the family working together (mom & dad) with their little boy who’s a toddler in the kitchen. I’ve seen them hard at work preparing the doughnuts and making the dough all while singing and carrying on with each other ALWAYS SMILES IN THE MORNINGS! you can always count on them to be open even whenever others are closed down for the holidays they seem to me to be very hard working. The doughnuts literally can prove that they are not afraid of a lot of work to get An accomplished product out to people! We eat here EVERY SUNDAY!! & sometimes we skip master chef because of our children and eat towns doughnuts on Saturdays to lol! Gosh o Molly they are absolutely delectable and melt perfectly in your mouth. ALWAYS FRESH ALWAYS HOT! & no I don’t work here nor do we know the folks, however our family absolutely does appreciate that they are always consistently making us happy and full tummy are always welcome...

Good Morning, on yesterday I went to get 2 jalapeños kolaches. But unfortunately they were out. So, ordered a boudin kolache and a regular kolache. The boudin wasnt good (TO ME). It had no seasoning , spice or flavor. It tasted like wet rice with paisley. The original was OK. I went back this morning to get the two jalapeños ones and they were delicious. The boudin kolanche’s were more disappointing than the 2020 presidential election. The “boudin” was just glorified dirty rice. I use the word glorified loosely because I think it was straight dirty rice. The preparation was amazing though.
