Home Works New & Used Store — Local services in Amity Township

We've shopped at thrift or consignment stores for fifty years. Home Works is as good as it gets. Run by Christian people who are friendly and don't get offended if asked how they arrived a price. I asked such a question when buying an expensive tarp. They told me that they looked at Home Depot's web site. I bought it, trusting that they have fair prices and found Home Depot got twice as much for a similar tarp.

Home Works sold us a like new love seat for a needy veteran family for $25. We find something every time we shop there. When the needs of the veteran member of our American Legion Post changed, Home Works took the love seat back. I should mention that upholstered furniture in our community is placed at the end of driveways with a FREE sign attached. Being able to take the love seat back to Home Works was a great relief to me; I don't want to worry about it getting wet. And it has rained every day in SE PA for the past two weeks.

Home Works has rooms full of nice new and used things. This is a great time to shop there. My wife and I have gone out of our way to stop in weekly. They probably get new items every day. I bought a Craftsman 5" vice there for $49 that is on eBay for $235 with shipping. That is worth the trip. Nice people, nice location with ample parking, and terrific bargains. I love this place! Everytime I come in I find something special and a great deal! They have so much stuff downstairs, furniture in the back and upstairs is where they have clothing and shoes. You could never look at EVERYTHING in a short amount of time. I easily get lost in here and by the time I make it to the kitchen area, I have to take what I already have for purchase to the front. Great place for recycled items. I am an electronics buff that loves old electronic devices and they have them that actually work. They also have CDs, cassettes, Albums (vinyl), DVDS, VHS, Clothes, etc. I suggest checking with them before you buy new, you may also find something new here as well.

It is also a great place to donate your unneeded items. It’s best if your items are in good shape and working condition.
