Stopped by this new Reading coffee shop in the neighborhood while walking my dog and was excited to give it a try. I asked if I could bring my dog inside, and the cashier just said “No” no explanation, no suggestion, nothing. I really wanted to get a coffee but wasn’t given any guidance on what I could do instead. I was left standing there unsure of what to do next, which made the experience feel unwelcoming and dismissive. A little customer service goes a long way! Even saying something like, “You can tie your dog up out front while you order,” would’ve made the experience feel more welcoming. Small gestures like that make a big difference, especially for a new shop trying to build...
