I don't recommend an online degree. I went to this school part-time for Software Development for one semester. The online portal isn't user friendly, and it would take me a while to find whatever I was looking for. I had to talk to multiple departments and even multiple people within departments when I had a question. The people were nice, but there were times when I would talk to someone in the department and still have to send an email to the department repeating what I just talked about. To enroll, I had to fill out some paper forms, upload them and fill out an online form that I had to do twice because I didn't realize I had to know the exact classes I was going to take. Once they all got approved, I was able to enroll myself online. I don't think it's the workers' fault but their whole system kinda sucks. I was there on the Kansas Promise Scholarship, and it seemed like only one person in financial aid was able to answer questions about it. My transcripts were received but not attached to my account. I had to call multiple people multiple times before they showed up in my account. For my first class online (they use Canvas, which I liked) my teacher was out of the country for the first couple weeks or so. Calling her a teacher is a joke because the entire class was taught by using the online textbook and giving her our chapter scores. Even in some of the discussion questions, she would ask something and say that we might have to Google it. The 3-credit class took about 8-10 hours a week. She didn't accept late work and would deduct 30% if discussions were done on the same day. My other class took about the same amount of time (also 3 credits), but the teacher was great and actually had teaching material. I work full time and am a parent. I ended up having to drop out because I couldn't spend enough time on my studies, which isn't the school's fault. Maybe this school is better for those that can go on campus for administrative questions and classes. Unfortunately, it didn't...
Read moreState they care about their adult students and their work schedules. However, they do not offer classes outside of normal school hours for Computer Science. I had to make several trips to the school to ensure my major was correct, the classes I were enrolled in were correct (professors stating I'm not in their class), the online professors are mostly not local and do NOT care about their students. I have had several issues with online Professors such as Jo Fair as well as Professor Johnson (English comp II). I would not and will not recommend this school to any student or returning...
