Winter Sports — Local services in Angel Fire

Reserved skis for 7 days for our family of 6 to ski at Angel Fire resort. They charged my card immediately upon making my reservation online (even though the website stated it will only charge a $10 deposit per person) initially. Don’t even attempt to speak with someone to confirm your reservation by phone, as they redirect you to an 800 number that puts you on hold and after holding 5 minutes will leave you no option but to leave a voicemail. Getting fitted for our equipment and paying we’re the only smooth transactions with this place. The worst part was there were 5 trails open at the resort and our kids grew quite bored with the same runs for 6 days. We turned our skis in 1 day early and they would not offer a refund for the one day. I was asked why we were not skiing the 7th day when I asked for a refund, and when I stated there was no snow on the mountain was told, “yes there is!”. They offered an Angel fire gift card! A lot of good that does someone from Mississippi! Won’t rent here if we ever actually return. We came in to buy ski boots. The young lady at the front informed us that the manager would come help us. After waiting for a bit, the young lady informed us the manager was "too busy" with equipment returns to help us with our purchase, and stated we would have to come back the next day. Considering this is the only place in Angel Fire that SELLS ski boots, we were highly disappointed with the service (or lack thereof) provided to us. Rude, ranting at us because our mask wasn't on completely before we entered the building, the only business that treated us that way while at Angel Fire Skiing for 5 days. If I hadn't already made a deposit, would have walked out. Every year we spend over a thousand dollars here. We purchase the whole family ski rentals and LOTS of accessories, such as backpacks, goggles, helmets and whatever they want for their vacation, as the family shops when they get there.
