WORSE STORE ON ISLAND – PERIOD! While I have never written a poor or negative review here before in this case it’s a Must - Its highly unlikely you’ll ever walk into a store anywhere – in the US, Caribbean, Europe – ANYWHERE that has worse customer service. Most especially in the so-called Copy Center. I will not bore you with details but suffice to say that for the most part the people employed in that department in particular department are (with one exception) apathetic, careless, completely unprofessional and extremely prejudicial. Simple case in point: we had an print order in and after waiting for 5 days were told – only after driving down to the store - that their computers were down – all of them- for 4 days. And they were expected to be for another 3 days. No phone call, no contact, simply let us believe all was good. Total and complete waste of time and it wasn’t the first time. And good luck trying to reach them by telephone. Just recently I spent 7 minutes waiting in the phone only to get hung up on. Because I only had a simple, brief question I decided to try again and see how long it would take… waited 22 minutes before I gave up. This OfficeMax is a pathetic excuse for a store and desperately needs to go out of business for good. AVOID THIS STORE...
Read moreLet me start off by saying that this store IS :
Highly UNORGANIZED : Top shelves are jammed with products that are looking to fall at anytime on the customer's head. ITS REALLY HAZARDOUS AND DANGEROUS.
SHORT STAFFED : ONE CASHIER FOR THE ENTIRE STORE. That's RIDICULOUS for a company of their caliber. I have heard countless of times the CASHIER CALLING FOR BACKUP AND ITS USUALLY the SAME PERSON. I WONDER IF THEY GIVE THEM BREAKS TO EAT. ITS JUST SLAVERY AT THIS POINT AND THEIR LOCAL LABOR OFFICE AGENTS SHOULD LOOK INTO THIS MATTER.
They have a "so call manager" who doesn't seem to know what he have to do and have been brought to justice for sexual assault. HOW CAN HE BE STILL WORKING IN THE STORE?? THATS PREPOSTEROUS!!!
They also have issues with their system randomly shutting down and i have been there many times to notice how CHAOTIC it gets when that happens. ONE CASHIER have to deal with ANGRY CUSTOMERS who just want a good customer service experience. MEANWHILE, the manager never SHOWS HIS FACE TO CALM DOWN THE CUSTOMERS or even ASSIST THE CASHIER WITH THIS MATTER.
OVERALL, they need to get THEIR ACT TOGETHER REAL QUICK. BEING THE ONLY RETAIL STORE ON THE ISLAND, MOST PEOPLE DONT HAVE A CHOICE THEN TO GO THEIR TO FAX, SHOP FOR ALL SORTS OF STUFF...
Read moreYou can smell the water damage in this place. Fair warning. Consider a mask if you care about your lungs. It's like walking into a casino, except it's musty instead of smelling of cigarettes.
This store is not price controlled in accordance with their stateside counterpart, expect to pay 150% - 200% more than what its listed for online. Express shipping from online retailers is honestly cheaper than the markups here.
I'm well aware that from a business standpoint, the nature of being out in the middle of the ocean means you will have higher freight costs and thinner margins, that's expected. I'm saying this to warn people who need say, an urgent replacement laptop for work, or have a tight budget. Expect what you need to be out of stock, or wildly expensive, possibly both.
And look, the building is terminally wet. Not a great place to sell paper, every ream here is just damp, and frankly I'm surprised they...
