Home Sweet Home Theatre — Local services in Antioch

We hired Home Sweet Home Theatre to hang a 55" in our new home a back in 2021. This was supposed to be an extremely simple job. In August 2023, we came home one day to find the TV on the floor, destroyed, and two holes in our wall where the TV was mounted. It appears this mount was never installed on a stud, just drywall. Not only is it common sense to install on a stud, the mount's manufacturer states this in the installation manual as well.

We approached Home Sweet Home Theatre about this issue. They acknowledged their fault and made vague promises to replace the TV and have the holes patched on our wall. That is all we wanted done to resolve this. At this point I have gone back and forth with Home Sweet Home Theatre for a few weeks but no progress has been made.

We hired Home Sweet Home Theatre to do this simple job because we figured they would be better than Geek Squad or some department store service because we were hoping that this installation would be treated with more care than a cheaper service. Unfortunately, Home Sweet Home Theatre didn't even bother to do the most basic due diligence when installing our TV. It is worth noting that Home Sweet Home Theatre is under different ownership than at the time of this installation, so maybe their practices have improved. However, we expect any company to stand behind their work in the past, present, and future regardless of who is currently in the position of ownership and this company doesn't seem interested...

We bought a Samsung frame tv from Best Buy. We used Best Buy’s Geek Squad to originally install the tv. Geek Squad was 2 hours late and hung the tv to low and not centered horizontally. It looked awful.

We found Brian and Home Sweet Home Theatre on Angie’s List. He showed up within an hour and fixed everything. The Tv is now hung higher on the wall and centered horizontally. It looks perfect.

In addition, he put the cable box and wires in the room behind the tv. Also, programmed the remotes and tv. He went way above and beyond what was asked for and he didn’t charge any additional money for doing it (as he said) the right way.

We are definitely going to be using him for all our home theater needs.

Today, was the second time we used HSH to hook up a new surround system. The first tuner, started to malfunction a week ago, after having it for over 15 years,so we called HSH, and Mike came out and looked at the old tuner, and told us what was going on with it. He suggested a Yamaha, which we researched and decided that was the way to go. Mike and Dan, came out this morning, and installed the new tuner and hooked everything up, even hiding the cables for the TV in the wall!!! The new system is GREAT.
