Benders South Bar And Grill — Restaurant in Lake Villa

The bartender Barbie complained she was the only one working, she was very slow, we constantly had to get her attention, she walked past us numerous times and never checked on us, had to wait for everything we requested even silverware and napkins so we could actually eat our food. And don't ask for more than 1 think, as she said she can't handle more than 1 thing at a time. Never been charged there before for pineapple juice with my liquor,, apparently that is an extra $2.00 charge on top of my drink price smh.. Next time I'll call to see who's working before I go back as I will not go there on the nights she is working.

Stopped for lunch and I had the Mac and Cheese Grilled Cheese and it was amazing!! So much mac and cheese overflowing on my plate... I was in heaven!! I could only eat half of it. Looking forward to going back and trying more things on the menu! UPDATE: Went for taco Tuesday and they were awesome! We had both chicken and beef with soft and hard shells. The soft tacos are huge! My daughter got 2 additional tortillas to wrap them up like a burrito just so she could try and eat them LOL And for only 2 bucks, you can't beat it. We're definitely going...

My wife and I finally stopped in after driving past Bender's for the last year going to other restaurants. A pleasant surprise and a year wasted! We've already visited 3 times in the last couple weeks and my wife has settled on a couple favorites (grilled cheese and pot stickers) and I've been making my way through the menu and quite happy with the burrito, birria pizza (SO good) and pot stickers. The bartenders/servers have been pleasant and accommodating and the other clientele quite friendly. I look forward to working my way through more...
