Awful, awful, AWFUL customer service! I’ve never been so put off by a company so much with their lack of customer service. We had our central air installed by Boyer a year ago. They said it would take them 3-4 days to get everything installed. Ended up taking 7. We went with them because they were the most reasonably priced. From what we went through the past year I would much rather pay an extra $5000 to have a company who actually cares about their customers. They were originally supposed to run 2 ducts down to our basement and only ran 1 so we were having temperature issues. They kept telling us that if it is 2 degrees off and it wasn’t a big deal, but it was actually 6 degrees off. They just didn’t want to come out to fix it. It took them 6 months to actually come back to the house to fix it because they kept giving me the run-around. Not to mention they can’t call you to give you an update about where they are with things. You always have to call them to get anything done or else it is put on the back burner. There is absolutely no communication between Scott Boyer, Pam (scheduler), and the technician. I kept getting the run around because they all didn’t know what each other were doing! I feel bad for the technician’s because every one of them have been nice, but the company has no idea what they are doing so it frustrates the technician. You can see it all over their face when they come to your home. Most recently, we had a water leak from the air return in our bedroom that we thought was coming from the heat pump in the attic. We called the Boyer emergency number and the technician was very nice and walked my husband through what to check for. We ended up having to turn off the unit to let the coil unfreeze and was told someone would call us in the morning. Someone didn’t call us in the morning (shocker!-sarcasm) so my husband called the office and he was told a technician would be at the house late morning/early afternoon, which was fine because I know they are busy and trying to fit us in. Well 3:30pm came and no call so my husband called the office and was told we’re next on the list. I came home at 6pm still no one showed up and no call. Mind you we have a 4 month old with breathing issues and 2 large dogs and the house temperature was at 85 degrees at this point. My husband called the emergency line because now they were closed and haven’t heard from anyone. The woman who answered was shocked that no one has shown up at this point and reassured us someone was coming. Nobody came. We needed our AC fixed that night. So we decided to call Knisely. Sam the wonderful technician came to our house about an hour later from Bedford and had us up and running about an hour later after that. I was able to put my 4 month old to sleep comfortably. I may have had to pay the emergency fee to have them come out but it was worth it not having to pay Boyer to try and fix our AC which may have resulted in more issues. I’m done with Boyer. They will no longer be getting my business or my referrals. I didn't want to give any "stars" but I was required to leave...
Read moreExcellent! experience! David L. knew exactly what was wrong with my Weil McLain furnace. I will recommend him to everyone. He said my furnace was so messed up it was a wonder it ran. I am so thankful finally someone knew what was wrong with my furnace. I will definitely get him again and ask for him to work on it again! He did a great job! They didn't charge me an arm and a leg either. Plus they will set me up for yearly furnace cleaning. Everyone take it from me call Boyer if you have a funace that heats your water before you call a Plumbing and Heating service from Williamsburg. See below
I had a guy here from Williamsburg work on my furnace prior to calling Boyer and he charged me $395.00 for 2 parts he put on my furnace, he said my furnace was so tricky and he knew a few other people having the same problem. The furnace worked that day but a few days later the furnace did not heat water. I called the guy back. It took him 2 months to get him come back and work on it. I had to run to basement and push reset button two or three times to get hot water every day. Now he was paid the $395.00 after the job was done before and when he finally came back he cleaned wires and tightened screws. He spent more time talking about his kids and mother who is not well then he did working. Two days later I get a bill in the mail for $95.00. Plus the next morning I get up and I don't have any hot water again. Now, the two times this guy was here, all he wanted was to put in a water heater and heat pumps in my basement. Because I had him put two upstairs. Well I called him and left a message on his phone a and told him when he brings my good parts back he took off my furnace I will pay him the $95.00 he charged me. I have called him 4 times now and left a message. He has never called me back. But he calles himself a Professional Plumbing and...
Read moreAmanda in the office didn't listen to what I was trying to convey when I told her I needed my furnace reinstalled, the flue pipe rain cap replaced, and annual service done on my oil furnace for my home. They scheduled me for a Monday when I was off and cancelled my appointment without notifying me because there were other "no heat" jobs that needed to be rolled on. Nevermind the fact that my furnace wasn't currently installed because it needed removed for a homeowner's claim. She had quoted me time and materials for the job over the phone. Which I expect could be done in an hour. After going down and speaking with her in office she admitted she must not have listened to a word I said and that if I couldn't take time off work I'd have to wait another week to get the furnace installed. Also, it would be 3-4 hours work minimum at $96 per hour to have the furnace installed. I will NEVER work with this company or recommend them to anyone I know. I'll actively warn people not to work with this company. They had also sent a tech out to disconnect my A/C unit a few weeks prior and he was extremely unhelpful when I was asking questions about the way the system worked....
