After being a frequent customer to this farm and strawberry patch for years, I am beyond disappointed with the staff's inability to give out notices to their customers regarding last-minute patch closings.
I stopped by the patch a week in advance to ask if they had the space/availability for my youth group of 80 people to come on a Sunday and pick strawberries. The farm employee assured me that this would be possible and also took my name, phone number, and the name of the organization as a contact reference. However, when I went with my group on Sunday to pick strawberries, their gates were completely shut with a sign saying that the patch was picked out.
While I understand that the patch getting picked out was beyond anyone's control, it was extremely unprofessional for the patch to simply close without any kind of notice. We had approximately 25 families drive to the patch and realize that it was closed because of the lack of notice, putting not only a bad image on our organization's board but also the farm as a whole.

We came here last year and had a good time picking strawberries, but this year was awful. We got there right at opening to discover a huge line. The parking lot was crazy with everyone trying to get a parking spot (no designated spaces, everyone for themselves). Finally we managed to park and go up to the booth where we were told the field was closed so we couldnβt pick. Fine, we grabbed a couple of buckets then spent 30 minutes in line just find out you could pay cash just around the corner (with no wait)! One person taking people paying with card??? Itβs 2021 with a change shortage... really? No signs actually telling people what the lines are for or any warning the fields were closed. It was not a good experience. Will not be going back. Also, my grandma almost got hit by a car... twice. Your parking...
Β Β Β Read morePerfect . Yes . Perfect strawberries . You pick them and can go as perfect you have patience to ' treasure ' hunt. Very firm , bright ,deep red and best of all ..NO pesticides spray. Can't imagine getting like those at store ,the source, what it was sprayed with and how long since was plucked.
They have three varieties Sweet Charlie being one. Listen to their advice on where to pluck as they know best how they rotating the plucking areas. I was rewarded with a bounty of untouched luscious strawberries when headed where they told.
The fun element is there too and 'light' workout for the fitness conscious. Try it. Its a weekend nicely spent.
Try early mornings than afternoons π.
Don't forget the sunscreen :) .
