Salem Pond Park — Attraction in Apex

Have I mentioned how incredibly AWESOME all of Cary & Apex’s parks are???! 🤣👍 This playground was all themed like a Railroad Train Station! Super cool and very creative! Love it! Clean park. Fun for my youngest to enjoy their time. When it’s sunny, it’s super hot since there is no shade. The slides can get hot, so I would check just in case. It’s has trail/path that’s a mile long to walk/run. It has benches everywhere throughout the park. It has also a shaded area for parents to sit but it’s quite small. They have a soccer field there as well. They do have bathroom but we didn’t use them. We saw about 25 turtles that day, ducks, geese and beautiful cardinals throughout our walk. I would...

Nice park with convenient picnic tables. Kids loved the train theme and enjoyed climbing on the structures. The big swing was a huge hit. We had ages 15m-3.5 and all were engaged throughout the few hours we were there. Small soccer field also right there and the kids enjoyed running around with a ball on the field. Only complaint is that there are no bathrooms. There is a small coffee shop next door so that's an option. I do not know if the restrooms are public, but you can always buy a little something...
