The ability to recycle many hazardous items rather than landfill them had been a great perk of this facility. They revamped the space a few years ago and it is now so nice and family friendly. We now keep a "landfill bin" in the garage, for our 1-2 annual visits. My Scout Troop now hands us their empty propane bottles, and neighbors give us used motor oil and electrics, and it all gets a reuse.

The Wake county convenience centers (Morrisville Aviation pkwy & Holly Springs Old Smithfield Rd) are services/facilities that I appreciate to dispose of my home garbage/electronics/paints/chemicals. Truly appreciate them being open during this Covid-19 times. The new center in Holly Springs is very well done since upgraded last year some time. Thank you.

It's a nice service provided by the county, never had access to anything like this in PA. The staff is friendly and the grounds are clean and well organized.

I've been out here 4-5 times in the past 1-2 years and each time something has come up with "we only take this or that on such and such day or in such and such way" and it's really frustrating to pack everything up, drive 20 mins up and back, only to have to do it again later ESPECIALLY when you try to research in advance.

This most recent trip I called the town of Cay, the Cary dump, and tried to find a phone number to call this place directly to try to confirm in advance exactly how to dispose of a dishwasher (as we've never done it before). I don't see how there's not a number to call (even if it's only for a limited few hours) to confirm how, when and in what quantities something can be disposed of.... better yet a chat, email, or good FAQ section to a website... but something other than driving out and talking to someone face to face 20 mins away.

Anyway, we get out there and a rather snarky fellow tells us that we can only dispose of electronics on these days and these hours and just kept repeating that with every question we asked - no number to call so we don't have a repeat of this in the future. His supervisor wasn't any more help but he wasn't as snarky. The whole experience was very DMV like (or at least the rap the DMV has anyway)... FABULOUS to see our tax dollars at work.

Previous visits were silly things, like they only take up to four wooden pallets? No where on the website did I see anything about that and I LOOKED.

It looks like they're going through and doing a lot of nifty upgrades to the place, so hopefully one of the upgrades will be on the...

I want to recognize Joseph Fitzpatrick (Joe) in the office as well as Charles, Gurvis, Tim and Dennis at the on-site location in Apex, NC for all their help, kindness, patience and professionalism. I was moving and desperately needed to recycle items and dispose a lot of trash. I had a full truck load. GOD is ALWAYS on time. I received the Trash Pass via email from Joe and when I arrived at the site in Apex, NC with the truck load I knew I’d be there for a few hours. Charles saw my challenge and offered to help me. It literally brought me to tears of joy and gratitude. All I could say was “Thank You Charles and Praise God”. I believe in Angels and all of these gentlemen were Angels sent to help me. I’ll always remember them and I’m praying they’ll receive 10-fold the blessings they’ve been to me & more. I give “10” Stars! Sincerely,...

Every time I come here, I'm like 'why can't other government places be like this?' This place is organized very well with good signs. It's a oneway path to hit all material area, so if you miss one, you will have to circle around once more. One thing I don't get though is why can't we unload stuff ourselves in the paint area? I had multiple materials and paints were deep inside and they told me I should dump most of these other stuff first so that they can easily access the paints themselves. I could have gone out and get the paints and hand them over at the first time, but they made me go dump other stuff first and come back so that they can get them. Other than this, the place is well and efficiently designed. The people at multi-material area...
