Ashley Store — Local services in Arcadia

The building is beautiful and very well decorated. That team member responsible for that really does well. I actually had gone to the home store three times having three different sales associates each time answering my questions and the third time I got someone passionate about getting me what I wanted and not just trying to get me to leave with something. It makes a world of difference as I bought all my furniture from them for my apartment as they gave me genuine suggestions of things to go well with the look I wanted and were alright with me saying I thought something was ugly or belonged elsewhere (like a cabin looking rug rather than a home looking rug). I greatly appreciated their patience and willingness to work with me as it can be hard for me to spend the kind of money people need to on new furniture unless I am really sold that it will look how I want. I think my bedroom, dining room, and living room will all have exactly the look I wanted thanks to my stop at the HomeStore. Thanks to everyone in the process who was willing to answer my silly questions as I have never bought new furniture before. I only marked it down one star because the first two people I got were rather pushy and seemed to more have their idea of what I wanted instead of listening to mine. Actually no stars. I was born and lived in Sparta and Bangor Wisconsin, about 40 miles from Arcadia, WI. Ashley moved from Chicago to Arcadia 2001. We in West central Wisconsin that anything coming out of Chicago was bad. Ashley proves that image as true. We bought furniture from factory then starting 2002. Not the best quality but we were trying to support a local company. I am surprised at a 4.5 reviews at this store because live in Florida now and the Ashley products are junk, NO customer service and Ashley Industries does not even cover their one year warranty for bad products. The customer is totally ignored after they get your money. If you want to read some interesting reviews, go to Ashley Store in Sarasota, FL and read. Must be that furniture, I presume is still made in Arcadia so the home store gets the best furniture???? I would suggest shopping another name brand furniture and not Ashley. Actual rating of Ashley is 0, ZERO. NADA. Parts come from China so that is the long delays of receiving items purchased. Assembled in Arcadia but no longer built there. Go to the store, take a photo of the signage for your desired pieces, sit on them, shake them, poke them, ask sales people questions. Then, go home and Google it. We were able to find a piece that was "on sale" for $3824.99 (regular price $4499.99) for $2079. The cheaper price was NOT a sale price. They told us, in store, that this was a "brand new model" but websites listed it as a discontinued line. It was found on several sites for within 3-5% of that lower price, in some cases with more variety available in the store THAT IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE FACTORY. They offered less fabric/leather choices, charged more and offered less amenities.

Long story short - use them, abuse them, but don't pay them. The store is right next to the factory and charges you more than ordering from across the country from someone who ships it to your house and sets it up for you. That same person ordered the furniture and had it delivered in a truck that drive past this very store most of the time. Because, again, THIS STORE IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE FACTORY. They should be the cheapest option, they are not.
