IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND SANITY DON'T SHOP HERE! I paid almost 3k back in June for a matress and bed frame and never received what I paid for. Initially they said it would be delivered in two weeks. Well that came and went with no word from them. After about a month of waiting, I decided to reach out for an ETA. I called two times a day for two weeks and every time got the run around. Nobody would give me a straight answer. Finally I was given a delivery date, adjusted my work schedule, only for them to never show up. I called asking where they were and the response was "I don't know why they told you a date, we still have no clue when." After getting nowhere for so long, I eventually asked for a refund. The next day out of the blue I got a call while I was at work from a delivery driver saying they were two mins away from my apartment ready to deliver my loaner matress. I was shocked and given no notice, and confused because I knew nothing about a loaner. I called and spoke with Tracy who told me an associate said he spoke with me about getting a loaner matress while waiting for the one I paid for, and that I agreed to it and the delivery date. This was an absolute lie. Nobody ever offered me a loaner. Employees and management have zero communication skills. I again asked for a refund. I was told to come down and swipe my card for the refund. I went there after work and it took over an hour trying to get the refund! They at first offered me less money back then what I paid, then said there was a problem with their machines. I left there being told my refund would show up in my bank in a few days. Well that turned out to be BS! After calling back multiple times, and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Protection Agency, I finally received a check today with the refund. They only put my first name on the check so I got lucky that the bank even agreed to cash it. The bank teller even said how scammy it was to not put my full name, hoping it wouldn't go through. I normally don’t post reviews, but I felt like I had to share my experience.
Back in March, I paid $851 in cash for a full-size bed set with dressers from Hometown Furniture in Arcadia. I had the option to finance, but I paid in full. I checked in every week on the status of the order.
Come May, I had company coming in town, and they told me the set would take two more weeks to arrive they even gave me a temporary bed to hold me over. Two weeks passed and suddenly I was told the bed set had been discontinued, and to make things worse, they claimed they could only refund me $400 because that’s what “their system showed.” Luckily, I kept my original receipt proving I paid $851.
This bed set was a birthday gift for my grandson, and what should have been a special moment turned into a complete disaster.
Fast forward to this past Friday, I spoke with the manager and he told me to come back today (7/28/25) to pick out another bed set and he said he would personally be there and cover the difference.
Well, we showed up today and guess what? He wasn’t there. The employee had to call him, and after we finally picked out a new bed set, they suddenly said they would only give me 50% off, and I would have to pay an additional $1,200 for the new set.
This entire situation has been frustrating, stressful, and honestly disappointing. I supported a local business, paid cash, was more than patient, and this is how I’ve been treated. I hope this post helps others be cautious of the scammers.
