For the price that my granddaughter paid for her daughter's specialty 4th birthday themed Woody characters " pull apart cake" ,it should have not been broken. They were nasty tasting,no one would eat it after they bit into one . They were not fresh at all . And no ,no one ate the fondue . After she took it back inside to show the girl, she said she would fix it,she tired . When she picked up the handmade box it was in,it broke, again . To began with, don't put a fondue character on where the cupcakes are touching, not connecting with icing/frosting. That's why it broke in the first place . It was broken when she picked it up . She ask me what should she do . I told her to take it back in there and have them fix it . As she was working on fixing it,I watched the other girl dip her hand, without a glove on,into the bucket and took the fondue( that's what I'm guessing it was )out, rolled it ,key words " no gloves on " !! She had just been doing something with recipes . I did not witness her wash her hands !! I told my granddaughter, if she touches or put any of the fondue she had rolled,on the cupcake cake , that I was going to say something . Thank God she didn't . As we were about to leave, she said hold on ( I thought she was going to give us a free cupcake ),she said I forgot to give you the other 8 cupcakes, that went with the pull apart cake . 8×$4=$32 ,that's what they cost per cupcake ( $4,I rounded it off ) . Really ??? And they didn't match the theme . Word of mouth makes your business, you won't get mine . Just witnessing the girls not washing her hands or glove up,made my mind up . Because she used both hands to roll it into a ball . The girl that tried to fix it,was nice ,but the other girl never smiled. She looked like she was mad at...
Read moreThe place looks great and the people were helpful. The food was not good. I ordered a chicken salad croissant which was $15. I asked if the chicken salad had any relish or sweet pickles it because I don’t like sweet chicken salad. They checked with the kitchen and said no. However, when I tasted my croissant there was definitely something very sweet. Perhaps sweet pickles juice or half mayo, half sugar mix. The chicken was canned chicken not fresh chicken. The lettuce scarce and the tomato was 2 thin slices. They could have doubled the amount on veggie and chicken salad for the price I paid, especially considering it was canned chicken. The side that came with it was either chips or greens. I opted for the greens which was less than a handful of spring mix drenched in a peppercorn dressing. I did order a cupcake. That didn’t fail to disappoint either. There was almost no cake to it. The icing was 3 inches or spiraled cream cheese icing. I ordered the strawberry shortcake cupcake and there was a piece of strawberry on top of the icing and two bits buried in the center of the cupcake. I ate half of the croissant because it was late afternoon and I had not eaten anything. However, after tasting the icing and digging to try the cake part, I threw away the cupcake. I also threw away the remaining half of the croissant and all of the greens. I won’t even describe the coffee I ordered (I did not finish it either). All in all I spent $25 for a half of chicken salad croissant that I forced myself to eat. Perhaps the breakfast options are a better choice. I will not be trying them, however, as I don’t want to waste anymore money. They should have spent more on quality ingredients rather than the fancy digital...
Read moreAfter looking for a bakery to get a sweet treat for my dad who is recovering from a severe bout of COVID, we stopped in at this location. I walked in excited by how beautiful it was, and even said Google sent me here. I was IMMEDIATELY looked at with what felt like a very "you aren't good enough to be in here" look by the young girl in the front. I thought, ok maybe I'm misreading her. Continued to ask if she had what I was looking for to get a snarky "we don't do that here" The woman in the back chimed in when I started talking about the donut shop that just closed, but I cannot express how out of place I felt. I called my mom who was in the car outside and told her how lovely the cupcakes were and asked if she wanted me to grab one while also asking the girl at the front how much they were, to which she didn't reply, and my mom said don't worry about it. I was VERY glad to get out of there and not purchase anything. I haven't felt so "lower class" than I have in there, in a very long time. After reading a few reviews, it seems this is not unusual. It's sad, as these are some difficult times, and small amounts of kindness go so far. Hopefully they work on their interaction with the public and appreciation for consumers, regardless of how they look (I looked a...
