I ordered 2 Adirondack counter height swivel chairs with cup holders on 4/09/2025 you have to pay when ordering. They said it would be approximately 3 months. I was told everything was custom made per order. I paid extra for the drink holders ant they were to install them. I received a call from Martha Kauffman on July 17 and was told my chairs have arrived. I asked them if they would fit in the back of a Chevrolet Tahoe to transport and they said yes. I arrived on July 21st and me and a gentleman from there helped me load the items in, and it fit perfectly. I arrived home and unloaded the items and they looked great. I sat down and opened up the cup holder and it would not extend or open fully. I was upset, but I waited until the next day to call and inform Martha. I called and she said for me to cut the drink holders and they should work ok. I paid over $1150.00 for these chairs, drove over 1 hour to pick them up and she wants me to right the wrong? She said I could load up my chairs and bring them back and they think they have a guy that can fix it. So if I do that it’s going to take over 3 hours and a tank of gas. Update, I got a call and an email after posting this, they did stand behind their product. They had a master craftsman coming through Danville on Friday, it was a simple fix for him. Took him all of about 20 minutes to figure out what was going on and surmised a quick solution to the problem! Thank you for your quick response to my problem! We have loved this store for years, and in the past bought a bedroom set, desk and chair, etc. We recently moved from IL to WI and were delighted to discover that this store delivers out of state. We bought in Lake Geneva, WI and essentially outfitted the entire 3-bedroom condo from Kauffman Amish Furniture. We selected five written pages of pieces and the store was an absolute delight! We love that they are so helpful, even offering lower cost "Manager Discounts" and seasonal sale items. It was such a large order that we went down just to sit with Marilyn to make sure it all arrived in the warehouse and was ready to deliver; she went over each of 30 pieces with us. Today, the truck arrived after the 5 hour trip from store to us in WI, and Rick and Braden were excellent in delivering and assembling everything. This Amish-made real wood furniture is heavy and solid, we adore it. We still spend time in central Illinois and will definitely contact Marilyn and buy from Kauffman's again. My husband and I just purchased a dining room table and chairs from this store. The customer service alone was outstanding. The ladies there are super helpful and friendly. They are not pushy either when it comes to sales. After our initial purchase, we received a thank you card in the mail from them, which I thought was so sweet. We were finally able to pick up our table and chairs this past weekend. When we went in they remembered who we were. Again, super friendly overall. We got our table and chairs loaded up and decided to look around some more and ended up purchasing another small piece of furniture. We also called again today as we are expecting our first child and we are interested in purchasing a crib from them and they were super helpful with answering our questions… now back to the dining room table-we have already received so many compliments on it and how beautiful it is! We wanted to something that would be built to last. The price is definitely worth it.
