We had an excellent meal and margarita at El Toro. The building has seen better days from the outside, but inside it is nice and clean. We enjoyed the Acapulco and the pastor taco plate with a Texas jumbo margarita. The food came quickly and was simply delicious. The flavor was spot on and the portions were very large and the price was very reasonable. This included exceptional service and we were very happy we choose to stop for a late lunch on our road trip down interstate 57.

El Toro's was a great spot for group dining during our family vacation. I highly recommend the carnitas—they were packed with flavor. If you're trying to beat the summer heat, stop by for an ice-cold drink and a relaxing break.

I had the beef alambre to go. The food was hot and delicious. I like that service add tortilla chips(you don’t get that in many places). 2nd time here 3-7-24: had the chicken soup $8. was full of flavor.5⭐️. @memerios1020

I ordered this on GrubHub so cannot attest to the service/atmosphere. The food however is a different story…

Got 2 a la carte tacos and for $4.00 EACH, I would have hoped they were not soggy and came with more than a sprinkle of onions and cilantro. Also, disliked how they put cheese on them by default. Maybe this is on Grubhub because no options to edit the taco was present.

Quesobirria tasted “eh” — the meat amount was skimpy and had only 1 corner of a burnt lime. What I did appreciate was that they had 4 tacos instead of the usual 3 you get at other restaurants. Plus, they added in the consumé. For $17, this was a waste of money.

Enchilada tasted like they used red enchilada sauce you get in the can without warming it up and it looked inedible.

On the up side, the fajita rice bowl w/ chicken tasted amazing and was the highlight of our order (including the free chips and salsa).

All in all, we would not be ordering again and would not recommend to others. Like other reviewers, we fell victim to the high positive review count — something I can’t understand because the food is sub par at best. Maybe some people haven’t had good Mexican...

server was pleasant in the beginning, food was horrible and expensive, taco bell would have been a better option as that's pretty much what they served just taco bell taste and looks better, nothing authentic about this place except Mexican servers! stopped here cause of other reviews but don't understand what anyone was thinking when reviewing unless the staff / owners review their self! would not reccomend this place to anyone. (ordered the dinner #4 which came with 1 enchilada 1 taco and 1 tostada, never have I had an enchilada made of hamburger meat.... p.s. the taco was also hamburger meat which came on a hard shell and burnt, enchilada was hamburger meat also and looked horrific didnt even taste, no rice or beans for $10.50) the server told the cook I didnt eat the food and they started talking about me! lol not professional at all. wish I would have taken a pic of this garbage cause everyone...

Absolutely overcharged for pitchers of margs at $30 being followed into believing there was a price at around $10 for a special. Brought this up with the servers and ended up paying a $100 meal. I have never once spent this much money from a Mexican restaurant I have lived by New Mexico as well as encounters and dined at various Mexican restaurants. I was absolutely insulted when bringing up and discussing the price. I was a guest in Arcola and respectively told them the prices and advertisement was unfair. They did not care. I will not be back. I also can understand Spanish and the workers were talking inappropriately. I do not advise this place as professional or where you would care to...
